Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 05:15 PM

Cool! He looks great, Espy.

Espy 06-21-2011 05:20 PM

Yep. My fail-webcam pic serves its purpose then, haha. Gonna go check out the actual RP.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 05:21 PM

Heh, four posts in and Dolly's already killed someone. We're having fun. :D

Joey 06-21-2011 06:00 PM

@Suzerain

I know I said I try this out... but when I saw the main thread for this, and saw that everyone is typing paragraphs, etc. I was like um... And in the past, the few roleplays I was in, it was like one or two sentences per person. Then again the whole site died after a few days.

I don't think I be able to do this, just seems too difficult to do for me at the moment. I guess I start with something simple, like the group story that you have, and then come to this one later? But I don't know if there will be spots left. Would it be okay for me to come to this later or it be too late for that?

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 06:03 PM

Yeah, I thought of that after I mentioned it. This is a bit complex (despite being my first attempt at running one).

We'll have to see how it goes, honestly. If I get more comfortable running the game, I'll be able to handle more players, probably. Or people might have things come up and have to quit playing.

Basically, if you change your mind, just let me know and I'll try to work something out for you. :)

Joey 06-21-2011 06:06 PM

Thank you Suzerain.

Serra Britt 06-21-2011 07:25 PM

I still feel like the least prepared one here XD In a little bit I'm going to try to see if I can put something in, and not feel too intimidated by everyone else :p

Espy 06-21-2011 07:26 PM

How am I intimidating?!

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 07:34 PM

^Haha.

@Serra, don't be intimidated. Feel free to join in however you see fit.

Espy 06-21-2011 07:35 PM

Derp. I'm totally brain-dead.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 07:39 PM

Hmm? Why do you say that?

Espy 06-21-2011 07:43 PM

Because I can't think of anything to write for the RP right now. It's like....writer's block.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 07:52 PM

Oh. Well, that's okay. We're still just getting into it, anyway. Dante looks like he's set for a while where he is. :p

Espy 06-21-2011 07:56 PM

Bahaha. Just watch him fall asleep.

Funkduder 06-21-2011 09:07 PM

...Holy ____ Carps and _______ Sadistic Bass.... I want in. *moves to make a character profile.*

Espy 06-21-2011 09:10 PM

I knew you'd want in >.> Er...maybe there's room.

Funkduder 06-21-2011 09:12 PM

Irrelevant if there's room or not, do I PM Suzerain or post my profile here.

Espy 06-21-2011 09:19 PM

You post it here.

Espy 06-21-2011 09:23 PM

I've just noticed that Dante could possibly be prone to Rue's antics. That scares me XD

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 09:33 PM

Hey, Funk. You're in luck, I have one more spot open. Glad to have you. :)

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Funkduder 06-21-2011 09:39 PM

Artificer and Theurgist are the only two not taken. I figure that if I pick one, the other group will become the common adversary...I'll get to work then. >:O

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 09:43 PM

We have a Theurgist, Sage's character. She's a medic, though, so no harm having another around if you want to throw down some heavenly wrath. :p

Serra Britt 06-21-2011 10:06 PM

I still feel a bit out of place but we'll see how things go, right?

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 10:08 PM

You'll be fine, don't worry.

And reading your post, I just realized I never came up with a currency for this setting. Oh, well. Coins work fine.

I had entertained the idea of using pages from the Book of Revelation are currency, but I thought it seemed kind of cheesy.

Serra Britt 06-21-2011 10:18 PM

I figured "coins" would work no matter the currency, besides, post apocalypse I'm guessing everyone would want some kind of hard currency, or use bartering.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 10:21 PM

Yes, very sound reasoning.

CupcakeDolly 06-21-2011 11:40 PM

That was actually what I was wondering earlier today, whether post-apocalypse world would have currency or not. You'd think so. Even Fallout used bottlecaps. =P

Funkduder 06-21-2011 11:52 PM

I feel lazy for not drawing the picture. XD
Quote:

Name: Michael Haydn
Class: Artificer
Abilities: High-end engineering repairs, Physic contact to the Aether Satellite, Decent Marksmanship, Average Athletic Abilities, Minor Psychic Block
Items: Thermal Insulation Gear, Purification Filter, Succor Capsules (1 pack of 30), Interdiction Badge (wrist), Weapon Grade Incendiary Laser, Transrespiration Implant, Courage Capsule, (other (rarity 0?): Rucksack, Canteen, 1 week’s worth of plain rations, clothes, journal)
Picture (in a general sense):
Physical Description: 22 years old; Male; thin and lanky; 5ft 8in; white hair; silver eyes; dark skin
Outfit: Wears a grey lab coat over a white button down with blue denim jeans over his insulation gear; his incendiary laser is off, but concealed inside of the holster in the inside pocket of his lab coat.
Background (in a basic, flexible form): Being adopted by parents for his natural psychic abilities, Michael was pushed hard to train his psychic ability to try to impress the Sibyl, who they nearly worshipped like the new god of the realm. On his eighteenth birthday he was presented to Jez’ebel and she pried into his mind, mentally scarring Michael. After a meeting with the first Artificer he had seen in his life, Daniel, he devoted his life to the cause, researching a way to form a shield around the mind so that no man may have their thoughts invaded by any being in the universe.

I would normally geuss bartering, or someting like that (think the coins from A Maiden's Tale by Margaret Atwood)

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 11:55 PM

Looks good, Funk. Feel free to start playing.

Funkduder 06-21-2011 11:59 PM

Thanks. You guys seemed to have covered a bit of ground already so I'll need to catch up a bit. ^^' *goes off to read*

Suzerain of Sheol 06-22-2011 12:00 AM

Nah, we're basically just killing time before everyone gets on-screen. Except Dolly, who's killing people. :p

CupcakeDolly 06-22-2011 12:03 AM

Hey, I don't get to do it enough in real life, so I'm gonna have fun with it!

Sage 06-22-2011 12:03 AM

I just assumed I'd have Jeanne barter for stuff with "I'll heal your sick dad" sorta things. xD

Good to have an Artificer in the group!

Funkduder 06-22-2011 12:04 AM

I figured that I didn't want things too unbalanced and I'm more or less like my character IRL so it's be easier to adjust. *returns to reading*

Suzerain of Sheol 06-22-2011 12:04 AM

Assume bartering, I guess, with coins being a common bartering tool. Works for me.

Funkduder 06-22-2011 12:48 AM

Well this is interesting. I never expected someone to post before me. This'll be fun.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-22-2011 12:52 AM

You ninja rapscallion, you! You posted like one second before me. :p

No harm, though. Looks like half of us are poised to bump into each other any minute, anyway.

Oh, and I'm about done for the night, guys, sorry. You can keep RPing without me, if you want. I'll catch up in the morning.

CupcakeDolly 06-22-2011 01:09 AM

Looks like everyone's split up into two factions: Rue and Feenai!
Aaand, fight!!

Aww, goodnight Suzerain. It won't be the same without you. ;-;

Funkduder 06-22-2011 01:49 AM

So, salone, I see a choice: we fight or we work together...or both. Both might work well. What do you think, cupcake?
