If that did happen my next guess is that someone plagiarize the story for this event. xD

a ball in real life only lasts one night. if you're drunk/hung over and can't find your way home, you could be lost for DAYS!

Some royal balls last more than one night, I would think. xD And that's no afterparty then, at least not for more than one night/day, too.
