Demo looked at Ariiana, "Balance is almost impossible in the world we exist in now. The only true entity that has balance is nature." He said this as he drew closer. "I do believe we have been away from the festivities for a long while." He gestured to the now bright sunshine. "Do you know where it is you must be for your master?"

She would look to him and smiled faintly "Even Nature wars against itself it is the way things are in the realms, the strong make way to the weak, the weak grow and learn how to take out the strong and so the cycle will continue" she chuckled "Mennyi ta" (history repeats) she whispered to herself.

She turned looked to a near by shadow and walks to closer to it "Time passes quickly when you are enjoying herself..." she would kneel and move her hand into her sash and pulled out a little meat and held it out "Shade" she whisper watching as a hound with fur making like it look like he had just been cut out of the void itself it deep blood red eyes glowing as he took the meat, three lines of razor sharp teeth seen as he ate "Shade this is our new friends Demo and Richard, Demo, Richard this is Shade my companion" she say moving to her knees and hugging him around his neck a loving look in her eyes

Her eyes turned to Demo once more "I refuse to take him as my master while I still have my will" she hissed, her eyes closing "I'm sorry... soar subject... I am where it wishes me to be, it is my purpose here that remains shadowed" she would confess

Despite the fact that Asione wanted to find her love, she wasn't sure her fiancé's idea of looking for her at the annual Masquerade Ball was such a good idea. She had spent most of her time at the Ball hiding behind her mask and avoiding dancing with almost everyone, and with everyone behind masks she only had the sense of her love's feeling to try to guide Asione in finding her.

Demo thought in his head,"There you go Demo always being stupid in the mouth." He observed the hound from a respectable distance. "He is a wondrous creature. Never have I ever seen anything like this in my region. quite extraordinary." Richard hiding behind Demo's shoulder punched him lightly on the neck. "Richard you are just as fascinating, don't get your nickers in a twist." He laughed and turned his attention back to Ariiana. "Ah well I hope you find out soon because it is better to get things done and over with so you may enjoy the rest of the ball. If you so wish that is."

She look to her dear companion and kissed his nose delicately "My dear shade I miss your presence at my side, I can feel you miss mine but you know how you are" she say scratching him at the back of his right ear "His kind are very rare" she say standing walking towards the others, shade staying by her side "Balls are not my thing Demo, the music hurts my ears... I prefare the music nature provides" she would say truthfully, her hand going to take Richard From Demo's shoulder. If she was allowed she would place him on Shade's head and watch as Shade moved his front right paw to nudge him a little playfully

With a prodding nod from Demo, Richard climbed onto Ariiana's hand and was placed onto the hound's head. He playfully batted the the paw when it came near. "I do believe I have nothing to fear as long as you are here with him Ariiana?"

Ariiana watched as Richard and Shade played and chuckled a little "You have nothing to fear from shade unless you pose a threat to me" she say in honesty "Seems like they are getting on" she continue watching as shade placed his paw near Richard once more

Richard quickly dove to catch the paw in jest. "So it seems they are. I can honestly say I was a bit worried mind you." Demo laughed a little bit. "He does get quite lonely only having me to be with unfortunately. I found him believe it or not as an egg of sorts on one of my explorations."

She tilted her head taking a seat once more dusting off her legs "Why where you worried?" she would ask, her voice showing some confusion "Richard, behind the left ear, it's sort of a tickle spot on him" she say laughing

Richard let out a playful snicker and began tickling the fearsome beast's ear. "How could I not be worried? He is my companion? I get worried about letting him out to play most of the time." He laughed sitting down in the chair he had taken a fancy to.

Her glowing blue eyes went towards Demo "You sound like an over protective parent" she say with a giggle, her eyes now going to her companion as he lay down letting out small whimpers she smiled "Keep going tickle him into submission" she say watching as he bough up his paw trying to playfully swat Richard "His kind do not attack unless given reason, there is no reason so he is harmless" her eyes closing

Demo laughed as he watched Richard and Shade play. "I really do don't I? Though like I said I hatched him from an egg. It kinda comes with the territory."

Keeping her eyes closed she would nod to the others comment "Yes, my parent's where just as protective. I wasn't allowed out unless with a guardian, they kept saying it was for my own good..." she sighed and opened her eyes to look at the hideous ceiling once more "I didn't believe them, but now I do" she say her voice showing a hint of regret on the subject her eyes wandering down to the playing companions "I can tell he is loved and happy... but if you do not let him spread his wings he will never find his own feet" she would say in a kind tone

Demo smiled, "I am protective of him but not anything to that degree. I know he has to find his own way but I still worry even when I let him go." He turned to Ariiana. "You do know that the ceiling will only stay the same no matter how many times you look at it." He said with a slight chuckle.

Ariiana turned her eyes to him "I was protected to such a degree because of 'gifts' I have" she say her tone saddened "My parents said I was blessed by the spirits" she say her eyes closing "I said I was cursed..." she let out a sigh "must make me doubly cursed now" her eyes opening once more her bright blue eyes seemingly dull "Your wrong about the ceiling, it does change the more and more I look at it" she smiled her eyes regaining their brightness "It becomes more and more distasteful and ugly" she say with a chuckle

Demo was silent for about a minute until he couldn't hold it anymore and let out a loud burst of laughing. "Your sense of humor is quite entertaining." He said when he caught his breath. "Though I am sorry to hear about your childhood."

She closed her eyes as he fell silent, though jamp almost startled as he burst out into laughter her eyes shooting wide open "I wasn't meaning to be funny, it was just an observation and my personal opinion, she has horrid taste" she say bringing up her hand to giggle, she brought her hand down as he apologized and shook her head a few strands of chalk colored hair falling lose "It is the cycle of life and death, it comes to us...." she stopped "Well maybe not all of us but most... besides I know my family are happy and are watching over me from the realm of spirits" her tone warm as she spoke on such a subject

Demo smiled sweetly, "It is glad we can take comfort knowing out loved ones are safe on the other side." He looked around. "I wonder how long this charade, I mean Masquerade is to continue?" He got up to stretch his legs, pacing back and forth.

Ariiana would nod contently as he spoke to her "Yes, I am glad they are safe, I'm sure they are happy and are not alone." she closed her eyes "One day I will be alone, but until that day I wish to live a full and happy interchanging life" she say, her voice showing she knew what was going to happen to her but she wanted to live for the moment and put such a terrible thought to the back of her mind.

She remained seated as he began to pace a yawn coming to her mouth, her hand moving to her mouth as she done so, waiting for it to end she look to him "It never will, as one mask is removed another is revealed" she say closing her eyes as seeing him pace was beginning to make her nervous

Demo stopped dead in his tracks. "I was referring to this very party but yes the act continues as in a never-ending play. Though do you think we should explore the castle?" A child-like gleam in his eye. "It couldn't hurt having a little look-see."

Opened her eyes as she was spoken to "I know what you meant, I was talking about the cycle of existance" she would say her eyes glowing just slightly "History repeats itself" she whisper standing she grinned with childish glee "What harm could come of a little exploring? If we get caught we could just say we got lost... this pace is big enough" her voice showing a childish innocence

Demo looked around and then said, "Do you hear something?" Demo said listening to the roar of a laughing crowd. "What do you think is going on?" He said turning to face the way to the grand hall. "Shall we check it out?"

Looked to him as he spoke closing her eyes she listened hearing the roar of laughter from the crowed but it falling silent, and some of the words that the queen was speaking "Shade into the shadows... keep Richard safe" she say her voice stern on the matter as she grabbed Demo's hand and ran towards the mainhall just to see the events passing "Seems our predictions where correct Demo... it was the calm before the storm, and something tells me this one is going to be a very bad one" she say in a low tone watching as events continued to unfold

Demo accompanied Ariiana to the hall. "So it seems. Good thing I planned for this." With that he gave Ariiana a wink. "Gotta love the beauty of enchantments." He said with a snap of his fingers as armor solidified upon his body replacing the masquerade wear along with a sheathed sword and shield. "Man have I been itching to do that."

Ariiana rolled her eyes a little "You have went into your Dragoon form so soon?" she shook her head, "You are showing to much to soon, in my opinion" she say quietly not wishing to offend him on the matter, she chuckled however hearing his words "Not a party goer then?" her voice showing jest "Perhaps you will see the other side of me if it is needed, I don't want you to think any different of me..." her voice sounded sad on this fact but for the moment it was the least of their problems it seemed

"Only if you do not think anything diffrent of me my friend." He smiled hiding his person under the large cloak. "I've got some cover. Besides everyone is focused upon the queen now." The sound of the large doors closing gave him an idea. "Ariiana is the way we came blocked?"

Ariiana looked at Demo "You have done nothing for me to think any differently of you" she say in honesty, her eyes going to the person who closed the door "Yes, but I can move us through shadow if the need arises to run" she say in a low voice so she couldn't be heard. She didn't want to use her abilities but if the need arose she would be forced to

Demo smiled at the thought of running. "I can guarantee you I do not planning on running from this unless told to." He said a bit to cocky. He looked to his companion. "But I appreciate it if you got me out of here if I should be injured."

She look to him for a moment then to richard, Taking Richard she placed him into a shadow "Shade take care of him, I don't want him injured" she whisper standing once more "safer than sorry for one his age" she smile, but nodded "You might not want to run, however if the need arises I will knock you out personally and drag you through the shadows if I must" her tone showing this as no threat but a promise

Demo nodded as Richard was hidden. "Good idea on that one Ariiana." He was transfixed by Ryuko. Finally someone else like him. "I would be much obliged if you did so Ariiana." He turned and smiled a cheesy grin. Adrenaline already fueling his every emotion, movement, and breath.

Nodded her head as she was thanked for getting the dragonette out of the impending danger that was comming, closing her eyes she listened to every word that was said silently 'Yes call the people idiots, that'll win them over you fool' she thought to herself but this time guarded her thoughts knowing of some of the skills the Ascents had, opening her eyes once more she continued to watch "You'll be unconscious, it doesn't matter if your obliged or not, you wouldn't have a say" she say grinning, her tone playful

Demo let out a laugh. He thought out loud afterwards, "Oh crap." He hoped that no one would turn his way or this could go south quick.

Ariiana looked to him as he voiced his thoughts and quirked a brow "Is there something wrong Demo?" she would ask her eyes going back to the queen as she spoke with passion about her people "I'm getting a bad feeling about this Demo" she whisper her hands going behind her back into her own shadow

"Oh nothing as long as everyone looks at the bi... I mean queen." He said, his tone now tinged with anger. How could anyone believe the lies this woman spews? "How can they believe this?" He was tempted to yell out but that would most likely ruin Ryuko's plans.

Ariiana looked to him "You still have to watch your tongue, I might be good but I still have my flaws and might not be able to geth you through the shadows in time" her abilitys where still forming and getting stronger, this ability first showing itself though the war in the years past. hearing his question she turned and looked to him for a moment "Think of it this way" her finger going to the queen "She is the mother..." her finger now pointing to the attendees "These are the children" she say using the situation as an example "If the mother says it's so, then it's so a child will never question for fear of punishment, but also because they believe their mother will do the best she can for them... which can leave children living in a dream world in which they might never want to wake up" she say bringing her finger down hoping he would understand

Demo's anger peaked past the point of no return as she disgraced his race. He wanted to with all his might to engage her that very moment. But he could not for some reason. Through clenched jaws he muttered, "How. Dare. She!"

Ariiana watched and sighed her hand going to Demo's shoulder "Do not think in anger, mistakes will be made that can not be rectified at a later time" she say, she had no idea what he was going through or why he was so angry all she thought it could be was the mere sentence of 'I should have killed you with your daughter' even she though that was harsh and she was meant to be a killer "Demo calm yourself or I'll knock you out now" she whisper to him worried that he would do a stupid act

"I...I can't do anything anyways. EVEN if I wanted to." He said his temper still there but his body could not move. It wasn't that he couldn't move, it was that somehow he was being held back. "I don't know why."
