Lost_Muse 07-26-2011 10:55 PM

Muse hummed as she titled her head to get a better look at what she was doing, "It may make the cause stronger but the fact still remains that the Queen scared many of her supports into hiding, and now many only fight for her because they are scared of what will happen if they don't." Cutting the thread attached to the needle she used for stichting she added, "THat should do it~ just don't get into to many fights and you'll be fine."

Pinkie 07-26-2011 11:30 PM

Pink stood putting her bloody shirt back on and picking up her sword that was leaned against the chair. "Weather it be fear of there queen or fear of change...we all have something to fight for" She said to her with a light smile adorning her lips.

Funkduder 07-27-2011 12:56 AM

"Personally, have a debt to the queen, or rather, there is a debt that I want her to pay for me, so for now, she has my service, meaning that I don't want her to lose." He pondered advising the queen, but realized that it would only hurt his own cause. Anyone intelligent enough to realize her mistake is also smart enough not to try to avoid its consequence. The fight would have to be taken into his own hands. He turned around saying, "Get well soon," and then walked out of the tent. Passing a crate of supplies he noticed something. "I forgot to deliver my present."

CupcakeDolly 07-27-2011 04:27 AM

Dolly had taken a seat, watching her fellow medic treat a wounded soldier and listening to the conversation around her. For some reason, she couldn't stay focused on the topic. Why did they fight? For the queen of course, what other reason did she need?

As Sir Funk left, Dolly spotted something outside. She stood and walked to the entrance, finding the package that had been left and the letter that accompanied it. She smiled, and something like doubt touched her, then quickly left. Reconsider? For what reason? She had been made to serve.

Hermes 07-27-2011 01:59 PM

Sneaking into the camp once more, Hermes left a smaller parcel, containing various medical supplies, and another note.

"Another bit of supplies to show good will. My will be to you and the other people here, not to the tyrant queen. May she fall, and may the people rise. Forget the queen, God save us ALL.

Best Regards
-Hermes of the Valyarin

He quickly darted off, back to the bar.

Funkduder 07-27-2011 08:08 PM

Funkduder walked in what could be the worst shape he has ever been in. "Why the hell did I throw the knife, dammit." He cursed himself as he took a seat on one of the medical bench/bed things (I really don't remember what they're called). He was bleeding in the shoulder from a knife which was previously in his hand on the same arm. His other shoulder was dislocated so he couldn't even put pressure on either gashes. And to make things worst, he lost nearly all of his equipment due to damage. It was worse than shameful. It was a disgrace to the Knights of Chaos. He caught a glimpse of a fast moving person before turning his attention back to the medical staff.

Renegade 07-27-2011 08:20 PM

Storm's canine sense of smell lead him to the medical encampment; there was someone severely wounded there. He opened the door--

"Funk! Er...are you alright?"

Hermes 07-27-2011 08:25 PM

Hermes strode in, new attire, and a wig on. Colored contacts in, near-pure black outfit to hide his features, his brother's old katana in his hands.

"Hello. Call me Elias. I've just come from the field, may I be of assistance in any way?"

He hoped none would recognize him.

Funkduder 07-27-2011 08:50 PM

Funk looked at storm with a grin on his face.
"I fought the Grandmaster..." He let storm figure out the rest of the storm as he turned to the man in black.

"Well hello, father. I see that you've come to anoint the sick...or perhaps you came to drop off medical supplies like the other priest." In truth, no other priest had come that day, but he hadn't seen him around so he shouldn't know that unless....

Hermes 07-27-2011 08:52 PM

"I'm no priest. I'm a soldier, just like yourself. A veteran, in fact, of many a battle." He regarded the man he was facing. He thought he may have just been baited, unsuccessfully, but the man showed no sign of lying. His face was that of someone speaking what they considered to be truth, even though Hermes knew this to be a lie... "I happened to pic up some medical knowledge along the way. I may not be as good as the medics, but I'm better than the infections, aye?"

Funkduder 07-27-2011 08:55 PM

"Aww, that can't be right. Not only have I not seen you in battle, but you're also wearing a crucifix," he said, pointing to his next using his foot. With the injuries he had, he probably shouldn't have been moving but he didn't really care that much about it. He would actually have been grateful for and honorable discharge despite the queen's lack of those kind of rewards. He'll more likely man a balista or a cannon instead.

Hermes 07-27-2011 08:57 PM

"Then we've just yet to have the honor of fighting alongside each other, aye? And the crucifix belonged to my brother. IT was 'round his neck when he was shot down in the Taskal war. I was the one that shot him. any questions?"

(BTW, yeah, he killed his brother in the Taskal War XD Long story on that haha)

Renegade 07-27-2011 08:58 PM

Grand...master...? Storm tilted his head slightly, running the thought through his mind. Must be some warrior bigshot.

((-chokes- What? Aww, now that's mean.))

Funkduder 07-27-2011 09:01 PM

"Oh, now? I think I've heard of a story like this one, though I haven't heard all the details. I'll tell you what: tell me your story about that crucifix and I'll tell you how I got these wounds. It's a living legend to be frank."

((There's only one person on trisphee named grandmaster))

Serra Britt 07-27-2011 09:11 PM

Asione listened with interest to Funkduder's and Storm's conversation and wondered if her fiancé was any kind of fighter when it came down to it. She didn't think her beloved would fight very much either, but she hadn't known her that long.

"Has the battle been going well for us?"

Renegade 07-27-2011 09:12 PM

((-sigh- Dear Funk, you'd think I'd know my own title.))

Hermes 07-27-2011 09:12 PM

"You're a Knight, your wounds are wounds earned, I am sure. And...Alright then."

~~Flashback Time~~

Hermes could smell the stench of blood coming from his own hands and gunblade, hear the cries of the man he had left wounded and dying behind him. He had taken the man's knife, and felt pity for leaving him no weapon to end his suffering. No matter.

He kept running, straight at the line of corrupt swordsman in front of him. He loosed three shots from his gunblade into the crowd, through the knife at another, and leapt into the group. Having already disabled two opponents, and killed two others, he was left with just three. He swung in a wide arc, beheading one of them. Suddenly, a fresh, stinging pain in his arm, and there was a knife stuck in it. With his other, he turned the gunblade and jabbed it through the man's torso, tossing him to the ground. He pulled the knife out of his arm as the final man kicked him in the chest.

The man pulled off his mask, and Hermes froze on the ground, staring up at the face of his brother Pontus.

"Hello, little brother." Pontus said, in a deriding tone. "What good fortune I have. I get to see the last look you make after realizing where I've been~"

"But...you've been...Mother said...I don't understand!"

"You thought I would die in some foolish fishing accident? Really? No. Although, father's body probably made a good decoy..."

"This isn't you. You were such a sweet boy when we were younger...we haven't seen you in TEN years!"

"Ten years I've been alone! I was in those woods, did you know? I just couldn't find my way home...then, years later...Instead of my "family", my new family found me. They taught me the way of the sword, taught me to fight, and taught me what familuy really meant." Pontus dug his heel into Hermes' chest. "And now I spit on insects like you." And he did so at saying this, it hit Hermes on the nose.

"Is there no turning you to my side? No changing your mind, even though you stare me in the face?"

"Not even a thought for it, not one." He dug his heel deeper, cracking one of Hermes' ribs. "But what I AM thinking about is the sweet sound of all of your ribs breaking under my boot~"

"If there is no changing your mind, then...This is the only way I know to save you..." Hermes, using the last bit of strength he could muster, lifted the gunblade, and shot Pontus, point-blank, in the eye. His head blew open, a spray of crimson spreading around them, and he fell. Laying on the ground next to Hermes' head was the necklace he had fashioned of silver for his brother 21 years ago. He picked it up, put it on his own neck, and layed there, waiting for a field medic to findhim, or a foe to end him.

When the medics finally found him, he was unconscious and barely breathing. He would wake up in a hospice 3 weeks later, the war over, and many dead or missing. He would hear stories of beating away doctors mercilessly even though comatose, when they would try and take the necklace off.

Funkduder 07-27-2011 09:14 PM

"Grandmaster Espy found a way to down me, but I'm okay other wise. The battle is pretty even, no?" He looked around the tent at the wounded and dying.
"By the way, miss, who are you visiting? You don't seem very injured, yourself."

Renegade 07-27-2011 09:17 PM

((How many years has it been since the Taskal war?))

Hermes 07-27-2011 09:18 PM

((It's not been very long at all, but my character is mean to already be well into his 40s, human years-wise XD))

Serra Britt 07-27-2011 09:20 PM

"Sir Funkduder, it's true...I have been on the front lines and have been winning several battles. I am just worried that my beloved may have gotten caught up in the fighting. I was attending the Ball to try to find her and the battle broke out. At first I was just defending myself but I owe much of my prosperity to the Queen."

Renegade 07-27-2011 09:21 PM

((I know it hasn't been toooo long, but I'm trying to get an estimate...))

Hermes 07-27-2011 09:22 PM

((Will you accept..."Nobody really has any idea 8D"?))

Funkduder 07-27-2011 09:38 PM

"Well I'll be. You've hit the dirt pretty hard in more ways than one. I wonder how you'd find the will to fight in such a situation. Well then I'll tell you it as best as I can. I'm not too sure how I survived but here it goes...and storm you better listen to," he said beckoning him over.

"Rose, who became the altered knight, the famine knight, was standing on the field awaiting a challenge. She didn't care about friend or foe as she lashed out at rebel and loyalist alike. Only the knighthood could get you even close, and even then, her presence by itself could starve an army... but that's not the point.
The point is that while I was fighting by her side, an assassin leapt in from the distance. Although she said she would handle the fighter alone, the assassin was eager to take on the both of us at once."

The sound of the fire erupted into his thoughts as he remember he next part. "This was no amateur either. Using one hand she entrenched Rose and with the other she shot fire at me, and that wasn't the end of it either. I rushed the assassin with a flail, but she found a way to fling me into the air using some magick of some sort. If I didn't land on my shield I would've died then and there. But the battle went on even further.

"I extended the flail's chain because, you know, the thing could do that, but she threw a knife into it, the assassin, that is but I'll explain later. She kicked the dirt into my eyes and threw a knife into my left hand. so I pulled out my trump card."

He showed off what looked to be a pistol, single fire that could have been from the age of exploration in real time. "It's a useless piece of junk, now, but this thing threw a chunk of lead into the assassin's shoulder, I think, and it dislocated my other shoulder because it kicks back when you use it." He knew that this was getting to be a bit unbelievable but he continued. "I was finally at my last bit of energy and the assassin was still alive, so I picked the knife in my hand and took it out, and threw it using my mouth. But she caught it and threw it back into my shoulder. Before I was taken down I looked at the face of my defeater."

He paused for dramatic effect... "It was Grandmaster Espy of the Apostles of the Hidden....

"I woke against a charred tree and made my way back here. No Rose, no espy, no nothing."

((http://www.trisphee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5712 <-actual battle))

Hermes 07-27-2011 09:47 PM

((I read that ;3))

"Well, it seems we've both endured our share of rough fights. Times like this are when one could use a good drink, and some friends, aye?"

Funkduder 07-27-2011 09:52 PM

"Indeed...judging from your story, I don't suppose you really approve of the queen, do you? Why fight in this war?"
Funkduder looked in his eyes as he said this. They reminded him of a friend of his...

Hermes 07-27-2011 09:56 PM

"Because others do." Hermes sighs, thinking of the leader of the knights, whom he had faced as leader of Savi Vasar, before it had become a mere past guild.... "The queen is of no matter to me, honestly. I am here to keep others for dying. I have yet to even raise my blade, I have simply worked to keep others alive." He looked the man in the eyes, trying to express 'on either side...' in his stare.

Funkduder 07-27-2011 10:26 PM

Funkduder paused for what could have been perceived as an eternity. This man eyes showed no lie to him, giving him a sense of admiration for the man in black. "You said your name is Elias, right? Your a true man of character in a place like this. Do me a favor and don't die before this is over." He then turned back and laid down of the mat/bed/couch medical thing, and waited for a medic to patch up everything that hasn't healed yet.

Hermes 07-27-2011 10:31 PM

((It's called a gourney when in transport, Funk ;3 Otherwise it's just a bed ^_^ Or a cot, usually, in field hospitals, as it's just a gourney with the wheels ripped off, literally sometimes.))

"Heh, I'll try. You try and keep alive yourself, mate."

AlphaDolly 07-27-2011 11:51 PM

Alpha strode into the tent, easily balancing all of the supplies that had been left outside in one hand and dragging Dolly by the arm with the other hand. "Here is your medic. Keep her inside, or she will waste her time stargazing." He eyed the man in black warily for a moment, then walked briskly away to set the supplies somewhere out of the way.

CupcakeDolly 07-28-2011 12:06 AM

Dolly was blushing when her companion released her. She hadn't meant to space out for so long, let alone get caught in doing so. She saw the new patient and hurried over, fetching her tools. "I'm so sorry, Sir Funk! I'll have you fixed up right away!"

Serra Britt 07-28-2011 12:30 AM

Asione approached the medic gingerly. "I've been looking for someone, an Athlyk girl..." Asione blushed beneath her fur. "I was just wondering if many Athlyks have been treated here?"

CupcakeDolly 07-28-2011 12:34 AM

As Dolly was cleaning the man's wounds, she thought for a moment, gazing off in the distance. "Hmm... no, I don't believe so. None besides the Queen's granddaughter, at least. Is she somebody important?"

Serra Britt 07-28-2011 12:49 AM

"I see..." Asione tried her best to not look too crestfallen. "She's not... technically anyone important...I was just looking for a particular Athlyk girl. I'll come back after more fighting..."

Asione slipped out of the tent quietly.

Azeil 07-28-2011 01:24 AM

Azeil was wandering about the encampment, rather bored with his assignment. The queen was a royal pain, and both rather frustrating and uninteresting to be around. He paused in front of the tent and looked in to see if there was anyone interesting perhaps.

AlphaDolly 07-28-2011 01:33 AM

Alpha set to work sorting through the supplies. He picked up a note that had been left with the medicine and frowned. He had assumed that Dolly had ordered the items, but it seemed that somebody held the notion of persuading his companions to change sides. He crumpled the paper in his fist, tucking it away. Dolls could not be reasoned with, and the audacity of whoever had attempted to do so simply disgusted him. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted the winged man peeking into the tent and he lifted his gaze, staring emotionlessly at him.

Azeil 07-28-2011 01:36 AM

Azeil blinked a bit as he spotted a blue man, and his brows furrowed some. He'd seen many things, but a blue-skinned person was not one of them. His head tilted just a bit before he straightened himself up again and stepped inside, looking around.

AlphaDolly 07-28-2011 01:43 AM

Shifting quickly to an aggressive and protective attitude, Alpha stood and moved to block the man from Dolly and her patient, along with the rest of the sick and dying behind them. He stared the man down, and it wasn't clear if he recognized him or not. "Do you have business here?"

Azeil 07-28-2011 01:45 AM

Azeil was surprised that the blue-being was suddenly sort of hostile, and he tensed himself a bit, watching him more carefully. "I do not," he said, "Though it gets quite tiresome being around the queen for so many hours at a time."

CupcakeDolly 07-28-2011 01:51 AM

Dolly looked up from Sir Funk's wound, holding a needle that was halfway through with stitching him up. "Alpha, that's enough. If he knows the queen, he's welcome here." She offered the winged man a warm smile. "Please forgive him, sir. He doesn't look it, but he's very young and cautious of anything new to him. I'm Dolly, but some call me Cupcake... for some reason. May I ask your name?"
