I'm gonna have at least four sets total, and two are already set, so I'll just see which one(s) I can move into the other set...
|
tough beans limiting it to three?
I would say make a list and then figure out a way to combine the left over ideas that don't fit in. |
Three...?
I thought Fen said six sets. |
Did she change it?
I haven't been paying attention. >> -has been teaching herself to crochet the past few days- If its six sets then I think you can fit everything you want into it. |
-ponders a bit-
Meh, I can always move the baseball cap to another set. |
Yes it was changed. Illusion made the argument for it.
Pocket - why not try and put something together anyway? There's not event end date yet, who knows how much time you have? |
Yeah.... I wanted to pixel more..
Edit: GAH! I'm having an artist block.. I'm making items and I don't know what to add to them because either they already exist or it's to hard to pixel.. X.x Completed 2 sets 2 sets need more items... And I can make 2 more sets... (I deleted and combined soo many sets together..) |
"View Picture" again to see the full size...
1.) Beanie 2.) Bomber jacket (with fur. Think Squall, but with a longer jacket. Or maybe that short. Either way is good.) 3.) Gloves (thinks of a cross between these two.) 4.) Combat boots (Laced. Kind of like this but with laces....god i hate having to find refs.) 5.) Long Piecey Hairstyle (In part a request by a friend. Sort of like the second panel here...) 6.) Vest 7.) Narrow tie 8.) Fishnet armwarmers (Yes, I love these things.) 9.) Studded Bracelet (like this but with a leather backing instead of metal) 10.) Studded Belt (Same deal, basically.) 11.) Belt Chains 12.) Short hair (Girl's.How many refs do I gotta find...) 13.) Cropped jacket (With fur; sleeves are narrow and tight.) 14.) Slanted Plaid Skirt (I drew shorts under it because the slit's pretty high up, even when covered by belts...) 15.) Belted Platform Stilettos |
Yay for semi-Boho goodness. ...Actually, it morphed into a mix of Boho and mafia. How the hell did that even happen... 1.) Fedora 2.) Half-open dress shirt 3.) Suspender Rolled Pants 4.) Layered bracelets/armcuffs 5.) Flat Cap (This, if that helps at all.) 6.) Skeleton Key Pendant 7.) Top hat 8.) Headscarf (a bit like a simple bandana tied to the side.) 9.) Fur-lined vest 10.) Flower embroidered skirt 11.) Corsage 12.) Beaded necklace (chain with a few disk-ish beads. -looks down at own necklace-) 13.) Feather Earrings 14.) Net shawl (with tassels. And wooden beads. They somehow got cut off from the pic...Anyways, I drew four tassels in the front.) 15.) Bracelet (That hexagonal thing isn't a flower. It's more like...a cross between a flower and a gear.) |
I will submit an entry.
Contents of this set: 1. Bandanna (Head) 2. "Sasakura" Hair Style (Hair) 3. Untucked Collared Shirt (Top) 4. Hooded Jacket with Rolled-up Sleeves (Top) 5. Baggy Jeans with Belt (Bottom) 6. Low-Top Shoes (Feet) 7. Thigh Pouch (Accessory) 8. Fingerless Gloves (Arm) |
*Cheers* Yay for people making male sets owo
|
I've one more completely male set, but it's almost exclusively accessories. ...And then probably random male items somewhere in other sets.
|
im just happy the past events where mainly Female entrys owo then again us boys are out numbered here XD
|
TBH, I'm more likely to design guy's clothing. Female clothing is a bit hard for me.
EDIT: ...Well, what's stereotypically guy's clothing... |
Lucid likes female versions of stereotypical men's clothing. >.>
|
Espy likes Stray's bandana. Actually, Espy likes bandanas in general.
|
Aha, thanks. I can't draw much, so I figured a bandanna would be easy enough...
|
I have good news then, all my sets are boy outfits.
A lot of the items would look great on females also. I do have ideas for female outfits but I refuse to make them because I want more boy items to be made. (Plus the female items I have in mind are too monthlyish) Gah.. I want to upload them so bad.. *Thinking..* Wait.. Can you upload pictures from your iPod to photobucket or some other site? |
Can I enter because I'm a pixel person or noes? >3>
|
I think this is a no site artists deal, but check with Fen. I believe she posted to that effect somewhere in the thread. There was mabe something else coming up for the staff artists.
Bomber coat!! |
I have 4 sets completely done now >.>
I have ideas for the next to but they are too complicated for me. So does anyone have a pixel idea they would want me to make? Oh and I refuse to make female outfits FYI. |
Ok, just wanted to say I added the male version of the stripped shirt set.
|
I know it looks more DI, but you never know, maybe it will work?
Head: Bandana and twin tails with feathers braided into the hair. I like the bandage gloves and red head band ^.^
|
Thanks, glad to hear it.
|
I'd have to say that out of the ones that were submitted they are the ones that actually look the most like use able commons.
|
I think people need to stop fussing too much about what counts as female or male clothing. As it is, I wish more "male" styles were useable by females. One does get tired of short, revealing, and/or skintight stuff.
|
I agree with Poggy about what looks like commons. If you look at our current special common sets (Pandora, Blood Prince, White Mage, Black/White Street Tagger, Cyber Hacker, even the striped socks), they all have 3 colors per item at the very most, with one "base" color staying the same. Special common sets with more than one color per item would have to be colored by hand one at a time, and wouldn't have the same variation in color as most of the commons we have. While that's not always a bad thing, it's important to keep in mind while designing. Something like a headband, fist bindings, feathers, tank tops, anything with one color, we'll be able to use every color. Special sets with more than one color are still amazing to have, and I like seeing those submissions. But if the items are too elaborate, I don't think I personally would be able to see them as commons. But it's all up to Fen what she thinks makes the cut as a common.
I also agree with Quiet. I love business vests and ties and pants and it would be so nice to have shoes that aren't heels or boots or sandals. Everything gets unisexed anyway, so nothing should really count as "male clothes" or "female clothes." Especially accessories. None of that is male or female. Girls can wear hats or bandannas or glasses or cuffs just as much as guys can. |
Well Lucid what I made so far won't disappoint, I just need to wait till March 9th or 10th to upload (I'll try and push my mom to try and get the Internet provider to come earlier.)
I do have a few items (and only 1 entire set) that are multi-colored in some of the sets. But I bet once you see the items all will be forgiven. I wish I can find another means to upload my pixels, so they can be up earlier. I like displaying my work early... |
-usually doesn't color item designs for that reason-
We need more punk-esque stuff, seriously. |
Don't worry, I'm not pointing at any one person here. :3 A good mix of simple and multicolored items makes a good set. I definitely do like items with multiple colors. Just the degree of elaborate design is all.
|
Espy I beat you to the punch.
That was my 2nd set (a sleeveless hoodie/jacket with a fur hood, black denim jeans, and cool shoes >.<.. ), and my 4th set is more of a Gothy punk. Look forward to it. ;D |
Basically, anything teachers and deans would frown upon is my definition of awesome.
...including finally being able to legally by spraypaint and illegally tagging everything in sight. |

@Illusion: I have to say I am pretty stoked to see yours. |
Gah.. It's driving me nuts not to show you guys already!
>.< Maybe I should find a way to upload them on a USB then go over nightmares house or something >.> I've been dieing to hang out with her also. |
You should definitely go to Nightmare's house. And make her design things too while you're at it. :3
|
Well she is good at drawing clothes..
But I won't force her to do anything, because I believe she's still forcing herself to take a break from trisphee. |
She shouldn't take a break, she should stay here and love me forever! ;A;
But if she doesn't want to, she doesn't have to. |
The only reason my things seem to always have the same colors is because I have limited resources in regards to copic markers, etc. Their color schemes are just the base color I had in mind, but these are also all out of a portfolio I had been building for something that ended up falling through before it got started.
I'm glad ya'll like some of them though, I only really started puting a few here because I had been told it would be a good idea ^^;. |
XD that is why I opt out on color a lot of the time. If I didn't trust the staff's judgement then I would send swatches. The thing you guys have to remember is color doesn't matter because its going to be in every color like the empress dress.
