But aren't we supposed to be looking for the answers? owo

Besides, how else would we find the answers anyways?

Demonskid 05-31-2012 09:23 PM

<..> every so often someone puts the answers they know and don't search for the ones they dont ;-;

Arikana 06-01-2012 12:01 AM

Really? D:

I put in all the ones I know first, then started searching. This way I could test my current knowledge first, and then search and learn more. >3

Though these last three are really stumping me!! D<

Demonskid 06-01-2012 04:19 PM

hehe ouo dk made it harder then she thought

Arikana 06-01-2012 07:34 PM

So does that mean DK will tell Ari what her final three answers are? ;D

Demonskid 06-02-2012 12:40 PM

nope!

but turn in what you have and keep going. kinda like a save point :p

Arikana 06-02-2012 12:59 PM

Ahh, okays~~♪

And save point makes me think of the Pokemon mystery dungeon games... >w> <3

Demonskid 06-02-2012 01:27 PM

they make me think of Final Fantasy xD

Arikana 06-02-2012 01:46 PM

Really? I've never played final fantasy games before, so I wouldn't know... XP

Demonskid 06-02-2012 01:52 PM

or death by degrees ouo or Okami

xD just walk up to the save points and save hahahahaha!

so many games use save points x3

Arikana 06-02-2012 02:21 PM

What are death by degrees and okami? o.o

Really? How many games use save points, Game Master DK?

Demonskid 06-02-2012 02:26 PM

death by degrees and Okami are PS2 games ^^,,

Lets see.. how many? to many to count.. :p

.hack games, Okami, okami den, Final Fantasy, Grandia.. lots and lots more xD

Arikana 06-02-2012 02:30 PM

I just needed a number, you totally did not have to list them all out. XD

Also: You got my crossword entry so far, right?

Demonskid 06-02-2012 02:35 PM

yup I got it. :3

I can't give a number cause I don't know the number..

there are how many FF games.. and then 3-4 Grandia games ._.,

Serra Britt 06-02-2012 08:18 PM

It would be quicker to list games that DON'T use save points nowadays...

Demonskid 06-02-2012 08:32 PM

xD yea games where you just open the menu and press save ahahaha no save point needed

Really? How many of those are there?

Serra Britt 06-03-2012 12:23 AM

There's...umm...

Depends on your definition. I count autosaves and checkpoints so in all reality the only games without save points are...none of them >.>; At least nowadays.

Arikana 06-03-2012 01:11 AM

.................................................. .........................
Really? None of 'em? >.<

Serra Britt 06-03-2012 01:17 AM

I dunno...I mean even sports games have some form of saving now. I can't think of a single recent game that doesn't have a save function in some form or another oO

Demonskid 06-03-2012 10:39 AM

Pokemon don't have a "Save or Check" point. you can save any where except in battle.

:3

Lucid: 06-03-2012 06:03 PM

I think of a "save point" as a specific item or place that you have to walk up to and save at, and you can return to that place to save as many times as you want. The older Castlevania games used save rooms (I don't know if the new ones still do or not) and like Inari said, Final Fantasy uses save points. I don't count auto saves as save points, and save points are actually getting rarer and rarer in games. Every game saves, but most are autosave and/or save options in the menu.

Serra Britt 06-03-2012 07:55 PM

Well using Lucid's definition there are a lot less games with such a feature. Having something visible to save at is a lot different than the ability to save, I'll admit :p

hehe .hack and okami and and Final Fantasy ouo

Serra Britt 06-03-2012 09:42 PM

Tales games, Shining games (not that there's been any recent Shining games) Atelier games, Ar Tonelico... Mostly RPGs from what I can tell.

Demonskid 06-03-2012 09:43 PM

all i play are RPGs xD

Lucid: 06-04-2012 02:22 PM

I don't think it's possible to have a physical save point in a non-RPG. XD

Demonskid 06-04-2012 02:26 PM

I hate it when i can't find a save point D: especially when the battery is dieing on a handheld ;-;

Serra Britt 06-04-2012 03:37 PM

Sure there could be Lucid, some adventure type games have it, like Brave Fencer Musashi? And CastleVania like DK mentioned :p

Demonskid 06-04-2012 03:45 PM

lucid mentioned taht one.. ouo i never playd it

Serra Britt 06-04-2012 03:53 PM

-looks again-

Oh yes, Lucid did ^^;

So there you go, a non-RPG with a physical save point :p

Demonskid 06-04-2012 04:00 PM

save points are the best :3

Arikana 06-04-2012 09:22 PM

Hmm... I see...
Though I was honestly too lazy to read back on ten plus posts... >w>;;

So DK, can you finally spill the remaining three crossword answers I dunno yet? P: #fingerscrossed #wishfulthinking

Demonskid 06-04-2012 09:28 PM

NOPE! you get no answers from me :3

Serra Britt 06-04-2012 09:48 PM

Arikana, I wonder if you are missing the same three that I was XD

Arikana 06-05-2012 12:24 PM

@DK: Hmph. Well be that way. I'll keep trying, and eventually you'll break. >.>

@Serra: Hmm... Well I'm missing 2 down, 14 across, and 18 across. :3
Which ones are you missing?

Demonskid 06-05-2012 12:25 PM

ouo *watches peoples* hehehe dk doesnt break

Arikana 06-05-2012 12:57 PM

We'll see... We'll see...

*inserts a recording of my evil laughs here*

Demonskid 06-05-2012 01:00 PM

Heh, I guess I kinda lump adventure into RPG. In my mind, as long as you're role-playing a character in some game world, it's an RPG. So in my mind, Mario would be an RPG, since you're playing as Mario. I don't know if it really is or not though. My definition might be a little off.
