I sure hope you can get one Angel...jobs can be a pain but they are a necessity after all.
I hope you can find a job soon too Angel!
*Goes back to patrolling the palace and keeping everyone safe :3* |
I may end up with a permanent job at the cookie factory I have a seasonal job at. It is not an easy job keeping up, though.
What do you do at the cookie factory?
I hope you can keep the job at the cookie factory Angel!
The packing the cookies onto trays for packing to ship out is easy enough to keep up with. However, I have been been on the belt topping or picking up the cookies with the permanent people. That is harder to keep up with.
Today I had to stretch too far to put cherries on my rows of cherry topped cookies. x.x Ouch!! |
Aww, that sucks. At least you okay.
Also, it sounds like fun to work in a place filled with lots of cookies! :P |
I like the name.. celestial palace... very far out! :3
@Angel, It sounds kind of fun, except for the overstretching part :/
@Reaper, Welcome! The Princess is out for now but I can be your host for time time being :3 |
I'm not so good at keeping up on the side picking up cookies with the permanent people.
And Monday is apparently cherry tops again. |
Oh dear...hopefully you'll be better at it this time or will you still have to over reach? :/
I'm going to insist on standing at a spot where there is no ledge in front of me so that I can duck under the bar and get closer to the belt.
That doesn't sound very...safe?
The bar is to support the removable ledge, and the ledge is so that we have a place to put our bowls of cherries for cherry topping. It ends up being OK to stand there. Hopefully they won't care if I am doing rows out of order. I can't reach near the middle of the belt and the tall people already have rows they need to do. I don't want to ask someone my height to do them. That would be silly and maybe mean.
Ah, I see. Sounds like it is a tough job sometimes. Speaking of cherries, they are one of my favorite fruits to eat :P
Alright Angel. I hope they let you do that, since I don't want you to hurt yourself because of overreaching.
I got to stand where I could get close to the belt.
Hopefully I can do it again tomorrow when they make more cherry top cookies. |
I hope you're able to as well Angel.
Yesterday I stood farther down the belt, but I did closer rows; so that was OK.
However, the girl in front of me would sometimes miss. Today, I got to stand in the spot on the other side of the bar, and the girl who was missing was not there for cherries. |
I'm trying to imagine how your job works. I think since I'm not familiar with conveyor belt tyle assembly lines I'm not doing so well visualizing it.
Well, the dough comes out of the bin onto the belt as a squirt like from a pastry bag because they actually have the end of the belt itself go up and down under the spigots. Then the belt moves the raw dough down the line in front of us on either side who have bowls of cherries to put one on each cookie. Then the cookies go into the oven : a covered section of the belt with heating elements -- the belt actually being a steel one at this first section of the line. Then after the cookies are baked by traveling along this section for several minutes, they roll onto a new section of belt that is rubbery or plastic. That is where the other set of people pick them up and put them in trays so that they can be used - or weighed and sold as a five pound box of cookies. Further along the line are machines that dip the bottom of the cookie into chocolate, and coat the top of it, and shake sprinkles on top. Then there is a cooling tunnel for those chocolate covered cookies, and lastly a spot to pick up those cooled cookies.
You don't want to miss putting cherries on top of the raw cookies because then they are not usable when baked. In order to not let any un - cherry - topped cookies get by me that time when she would let sections of three rows get to my spot, I started to drift up against the oven. Not very jolly. Hopefully that explains it, and hopefully the other girl who was there there last time and did well will be back when we do Cherries again tomorrow. |
Ohh, yes I see. Sounds like a very team oriented job and you definitely need to do your part to make sure others don't have to do extra work for no reason. I hope you get a good teammate for the cherries in that case.
Today I was a bit too late to get my spot. That other girl took it.
However, the tall girl who stands on the other side was not there. I ducked under the belt on that side, but I was too close then and was squished. XP |
Oh no! Will you be alright? :/
Yeah. I was being figurative. It was just an uncomfortable spot because it was too narrow.
This morning I was early in order to get my spot, but they did not even send over that other girl. They sent over someone else. |
Your job sounds rather frustrating Angel... Better than nothing though.
I guess the frustration comes from the monotony.
Today I was with the temps packing cookies. |
Sounds frustrating. I worked in an assembly plant years ago, eight hours of doing the same thing over and over was very mind numbing.
It is sort of mind numbing, but also relaxing to pack the cookies on the trays rather than pick them up because you have to pick them up a bunch faster than you pack them.
I think I'd rather pack cookies. I can't always keep up a good pace on things.
Hi there everyone!
*throws moon-shaped balloons into the air, and goes back to patrolling the palace ^^* |
*Catches moon cookies in mouth and then munches them.*
Mmmm....moon cookies would be nice.
I hope the Princess will be back soon. It's nice living here and all but it feels a bit empty without her. |
Cookies are so yummy. <3
I want cookies now...
Me. too ..... Yummm!
-dances-
She wasn't in her palace today but my Princess is coming home! |
For a while at least, I'm back again.
A little while is better than nothing, my dear :3
Thanks for not running off without me.
