"And that was the second floor," Kali said as she lead the tour down the main stairs. "On the first level we have the kitchen, the dining room, the main hall, and a few random extra bed rooms," she informed them.
|
*knocks on front door*
|
"OH DOOR!" Kali exclaimed. "I've gotta go get that, but if you two want to go on to the kitchen, I think lunch is ready."
Kali ran to the door and quickly opened it. "WELCOME TO THE MANSION!" She announced exuberantly. "I'm Kali, who and how are you?" |
*hides behind suitcase and pillow*
"Hi" |
"I see you're a bit shy," Kali said with a grin. "Well how about you just come on in, tell me who you are, and we'll get you all set up with a room," she said looking at the red and black cat.
|
*slowly scoots things through door*
|
"Would you like a hand?" Kali asked gingerly wishing she new the short hair's name.
|
"I'm assuming I should get up here?" Ciaran asked in his usual low, peeved voice. He jumped carefully onto the table and winced. So maybe he was that alright.
|
Once Ciaran was on the table Paw got to work. She started off by checking each wound followed by a light cleaning with some anchovi anti bactirial cream. After all of the wounds were covered, and the cat smelled like anchovies, Paw wrapped the cat up with bandages. "There. A good warm meal and a good nights rest and you should be feeling as good as new." The charity owner moved from her spot and started towards the door. "The kitchen is this way. Feel free to raid it anytime you are hungry." With that she was down the hall and into the kitchen, meeting up with the other felines who had just finished the tour. |
No... says quietly *slowly pushes luggage inside*
|
The bobtail yawned some as she stretched out half curled by the window napping still. It had been a long time since he was ever able to do such things with out being bored it felt rather nice to do. I am the manry-est of men! |
Sticking his tongue out a bit at the smell, he muttered a quiet "Thank you" at the gray cat, slipped down a hallway, and crept over to a corner of a random room. he was used to sleeping outside, but he supposed it was safer in here.
|
Now that the new cat was taken care of Paws felt as though she could relax. Until she remembered the accountant she had hired was arriving today. She rushed out of the room she was in and out to the door. There she was greeted by Kali and a cat with all sort of luggage. "Ah! Hello there!" she panted out. |
"He's just got sooooo much stuff," Kali said with a grin. "And he's not much of a talker either," Kali added in a whisper to Paw.
|
"Did he say if he was our new staff member or not?" Paws whispered back as she smiled at the Red and Black cat. |
"He hasn't said much of anything," the Mau informed Paws, "He hasn't even told me his name yet," she added in a hushed tone.
|
Paws continued to look over this new cat. She didn't know anything about the accountant other then he was arriving either today or tomorrow. "My I ask your name?" she aquired to the new feline. |
Twigg followed Kali around, looking excitedly at everything there was to see in this mansion, and making sure to remember where everything was so she didn't get lost.
After the tour was over Twigg ran to the kitchen and started snacking. When she heard the bell she went to go see the new cat. She smiled at the new cat and introduced herself, "I'm Twigg!" She said excitedly. She heard another bell go off earlier during the tour, but she didn't know where Paws and the other new cat went so she figured she'd introduce herself later on. |
"hi im jin-ball the new accountant"
Keeps trying to move luggage inside. |
"Ah, Yes! Jin-Ball, Welcome to the charity! Let us help you with those and show you to your room." Paw started to bounce a bit. |
"I think i got it. It's just a bit heavy"
keeps pushing stuff |
"OH! I forgot you were coming!" Kali exclaimed.
"Are you sure you don't need a little help. I mean you're gonna have to lug that up a flight or two of stairs?" She questioned with a concerned look. |
Paw wondered off for a few minutes then returned with some sort of sled with kitty harnesses. "Lets get those bags onto this thing then get them upstairs! All three of use will wear the harness and pull. If dogs can do it, so can we." |
"ok then"
puts luggage on sled "if only accounting stuff was lighter* |
"What is the accounting stuff?" Paw was curious, she had to ask. |
Open up suitcase
"ummm catculator, Typewriter, Folders, stapler... the usual stuff" |
"Oh! Those weird things humans use. I didn't realize there were kitty versions for kitty accountants!" Paws giggled and climbed into the harness. |
"well yes there are. otherwise the accounting wouldnt be done properly and we would have no funds..."
closes up luggage and tosses it on sled |
Kali put on the harness dreading the hike up the stairs, "This sled may be efficient, but it is by no means comfortable," Kali complained.
|
"I always used mice counters to keep track of stuff." She giggled as she started to lead the kitty sled team up the stairs. |
*hopefully we dont fall down the stairs*
|
The mansion was huge and smelled more like cat than people. Mirri walked around the place once before deciding to try her luck at the door. There didn't appear to be any scouts about the place, so whomever lived here apparently thought it the location was safe enough. Still carrying the kitten, she walked to the front door and stood on her hind legs, patting at the knob. She put Rin down before doing it again, this time uttering the soft "meow" she used when beckoning people.
|
Hearing someone paw at the door, Paws started too move fasters. Once the slead of heavy equipment was on the landing she removed herself from the harness and rushed back down stairs. She was positive that now they were on a floor with rooms, Kali could take it from there. Opening the door she was greeted with an older cat and what looked to be a small Bobtailed Kitten. "Oh my! You too look tired and hungry, please come in." She stepped aside to allow the new comers to enter. |
Mirri was not entirely surprised to be greeted by another cat rather than a human, but she did take a minute to look around the place for one. The house was too well taken care of to be someone who had too many cats for their space.
"Are there no humans here?" |
"Oh. Every so often we get a human around here to clean up some stuff and take care building maintenance. He's really nice too. Come come I'll show you to the kitchen!" Paws started off down the corridor. |
"This way Rin" Mirri directed at the kitten between her legs. Despite being small, she didn't look too worse for wear after their journey, but would certainly appreciate a meal right now. Mirri wasn't about to admit that she would too, especially if she could get her paws on a tea bag.
|
Rin's blue eyes darted all over the place as she followed closely behind Mirri her guardian.
"Will this place get all smokey and fall down too? Are we safe here?" She asked. The bell around the Calico kittens neck jingled with each step she took. |
"We'll be safe" Mirri said, paying more attention to the grey cat than watching the Kitten. The house was big. She caught the familiar scent of Ciaran, not surprised at all that the alley cat had made his way to this refuge, though curious if he actually decided to stay.
|
"Here is the kitchen. Once you feel full feel free to roam around. I'll find a room that is perfect for you and the little one." The kitchen had snacks and meals all across the table. From Roasted Mouse to cool creams, food was laid out for all to feast on. "There is also a play room on this floor. It is closer to the entrance and easy to find. I hope you enjoy yourselves." |
Mirri thanks Paws and then proceeded to make her way around the kitchen in her usual no-nonsense manner. After settling on a meal for herself and letting Rin know that she could eat what she liked, she decided to indulge in some of the thick cream she found.
