"I don't think you want to know" Lance laughed and let go of her hand walking forward through the crowds he began to feel a bit consumed with the feeling of his unraveling Patience. "Why must it be this slow to get to the castle" He looked back at Noelle who was right behind him, He smirked while quickly grabbing her hand and making there way down a small alley. "So how far do you trust me?" He smirked looking up at the rooftops above.

Noelle accepts his arm, "If you say so. And no, I don't. Crowds are okay but sometimes they make me feel just as uncomfortable." she closes her eyes as Lance told her to.

Noelle's eyes open and she looks at Lance, "I-i'm fine, really." She glances around, "You can see the whole town view here." she says in awe, her green eyes wide in excitement.

Lance smirked and look out upon the world with the look as if he had seen the world for the first time. "Ya, I guess I never noticed how it looked from up here, Never really had the time to look out from places like this before" Lance placed his hand on the back of his head rubbing it. "It is kinda beautiful"

"Beautiful.. it's amazing!" Noelle screeches, resting her palms on the edge of the building, "Can't believe something so man made could look amazing." she grins looking at Lance, "Sorry if I sound like I am new to this but in a way I am."

Jokull nodded and glanced at the end when he heard the noise of approaching people. Smiling slightly he as he noticed a pair of golden fox ears twitching as the person moved through the crowd.

Makani smiled brightly as he bounded up and grinned. "Jokull! Jokull I found some great stuff this time." Grinning as he held up a large bag of food. Pausing when he realized there was an unknown person he frowned. "Who's this Jokull?"

Lance looked over at Noelle and smiled at her excitement, It made him happy to see that People still could be happy about the little things. "So why haven't you tried it before? i mean its not like climbing to the top of a hill is difficult" He teased as he walked over next to her and leaned over the edge. Lance looked out at the crowd below after speaking his mind began to wander. I wonder if she is here..Pictures of the women he considered his sister flowed through his mind.

Jace staid quite for a moment examining the fox like person who had walked up towards them. "Im Jace your friend here has asked me to lend my lance to his aid when needed." He stood up and offered the newly found person a hand shake "And you are?"

Noelle pauses, "I was a foster child, we didn't have those freedoms." she pulls up the sleeve of her top to reveal the scars, "And even if we did, he would never allow me the chance to do that. He conflicted these scars when I was escaping, Lei found me and nursed me back to health." she looks at Lance, waiting for his reaction.

Noelle notices how Lance studies the scars and looks down, "Your the only person who knows, please don't say anything to Lei. The less she knows, the safer she will be in the long run. And besides, with tons of people joining the Hunt, there's little chance of him thinking he can find me here." she tries to smile, showing the scars don't affect her.

Noelle laughs, "Even if he's here, what are the chances of me running into him? If he wanted me that bad, he had plenty of chances when me and Lei were separated." she smiles at Lance and his offer, "Thank you." she leans against Lance, a small blush forming on her cheeks, "Your the first guy who has offered that."

Lance let out a sigh and look out into the sky, he place a arm around Noelle "I'm sure he has forgotten by now, That or Lei scared him off with that stare of hers" Lance tried his hardest to impersonate the stare to try and cheer the girl up, The feeling went from happy to sad in the matter of moments, Lance sorta felt like it was his fault

"As I said, Lei is not that bad. She had lots of problems growing up and humans have left a vile taste in her mouth. Give her a few weeks, she will eventually warm to you." Noelle nods, "Most likely, I have never stayed in one place long enough for him to find me." she glances up at Lance, "For some reason, I really want you to kiss you right now." she giggles, "Call it prepayment for being my bodyguard?"

Surprise took over Noelle as Lance gently tilted her head back and brushes his lips to hers, her cheeks went bright red in response and she closed her eyes, returning the kiss back.

He blinked for a moment and just stared up at the person before him. "Umm.... My name's Makani." Speaking as he shook the hand firmly and smiled brightly up at him. "It'll be nice to have you along the journey with us." Murmuring before he started to look over the armor that Jace was wearing. "Oooh..... This is really cool..." Mumbling as he poked at it cautiously then examined the lance quietly. "Wow... Nice piece of craftsmanship here...."

Jokull laughed lightly and turned towards the gate that the guards were blocking. "Don't worry about Makani, he has a fascination with armor and weapons."

Jace smiled he admired the admiration of Makani examining his armor. "Well, would you like to have a closer look?" Jace smirked stabbing the lance in front of Makani as he reach behind him, The sounds of metal clanking and clicking filled the air as the armor dropped of jace's body revealing his casual Roguelike clothing, as well as his face he quickly catches the armor and places it at the mans feet "Now be careful that is my only set" He said teasingly, It felt good for him to have that armor off for once.

Lance looked down at his feet then at Noelle, Although he had kissed women before for some reason this was hard for him to face up too, He was worried he maybe had messed it up, considering Noelle had yet to respond. Lance sighed and sat on the edge of the building planting his feet along the edge of the build and wrapping his arms around his legs. "It really is a perfect day isn't it?"


Suddenly the surrounding cities went deathly quiet the magic council channeled there power to broadcast the following message "Err.. Is this thing on?! Yes hello? Attention Competitors of the throne there is a small twists to the Challenge, The first twist is the following among each Crown piece shall be a guardian, To pass them you must endure challenges of the mind and soul. Those who don't pass will be exterminated on site. Secondly.." It was then A beacon of light emitted into the sky to the north of the Castle's current location. "The beacon you now see is the Location where the maps have been hidden there only a few supply so it is survival of the fittest you may began you decent now." It was then then the voice was cut off, the town almost instantly turned on each other blood shed filled the streets the time had come the fight for the crown.

Her cheeks still beet red, Noelle glances at Lance, "Y-yes it is." she smiles lightly and sits down next to him, "That was my first kiss you know." she leans over and pulls Lance into another kiss, her lips pressed softly against his, enjoying the moment before the announcement that the hunt had started.

Listening to the message, Noelle sighs, "And the blood shed and violence begins." she watches quietly for a few moments before turning to Lance, "Where do you start wanting to look for the items needed?"

Makani squeaked happily and started to examine the armor curiously taking his time to look it over with a cautious eye. "Hmm... You can tell that this is definitely your only set as it has quite an amount of dents and scratches all over." Mumbling to himself as he rolled it over carefully in his hands to see every inch.

Ears twitching at the sound of the speaker crackling, he froze and listened to the announcement cautiously. "Hnn...." Eyes glazing slightly he glanced up at Jokull and frowned. "Ten minutes." Setting the pieces of armor down his lips twitched slightly as if to form a smile before he dashed off towards the light.

Quickly the fox boy found himself at near the light and he crouched in a tree to attempt to look over the location. "Hmm...."

Jokull sighed softly and glanced at Jace. "Well it shouldn't take to long for us to have one of the few maps. If you'll gather your armor, then we can head quickly towards the edge of town to meet him."

Noelle nods and watches Lance go out to get the map, "I'll wait here than." she says softly, knowing she would slowly him down in this part of the hunt, "I wonder what they mean when they say challenges of the mind and soul, is it a riddle? Or something else?" She taps a finger against her lips as she ponders this.

After traveling a bit towards the beacon of light he turned back to look at the building from which he had left Noelle standing. I hope she'll be okay. Lance shook his head rapidly snapping out of the thought and made walked into the beacon lit forest area, It seemed as though his was the first once there. In Front of lance was chest on the lid was the Royal seal. "This must be it" Lance whispered to himself as he approached it, it seemed quite a bit too quiet there were no signs of animals, this made him question the chest before opening it he examined it carefully. "Hmm, seems normal.." Lance placed his hand upon the chest and gave it a tug trying to pull it open, and just his luck it was locked, But oddly enough there was no place to fight a key.. "what the.."

Jace looked over at the man he was previously talking to the man by the named jokull. "So you think he will be okay on his own? Don't want any deaths on my watch or anything." Jace laughed picking his armor up and placing it on his body once more moving different parts of the armor to click them together in place

Makani frowned slightly as he perched in the tree watching the man mess with the chest. "Heh.... This is not a typical chest to try and retrieve a map from." Chuckling softly as he gently landed on the grass before wandering over gracefully towards the unknown person. "Hmm... Curious how the chest has no lock to open. So that means no lock picking today." Speaking aloud to no one as he walked a large circle around Lance and the chest.

Jokull smirked as he glanced at Jace and gave a simple nod. "Yes it shall be fine, since it is Makani. When it's normal day things, he's a klutz and hopeless to count on, but then it comes to a mission like this. Well let's just say Jace that Makani is a great thief when needed and light on his feet. So he should be back in the time that he said."

Lucien smiled at the women telling him what she wanted. "No society huh? What if i could promise you a location only that I know about that you could live the rest of your life at without the worry of pesty little castle servants or taxes, and allowed you to kill whoever and whatever you wanted that stepped onto the property, And the supplies to live there as well" Luciens smiled turned into a Manic grin as he continued to talk his words got more persuasive, his tone became calm and smoothing. "All you would have to do is help me get the Throne and all that could be yours, and whatever else you want.." Lucien placed his hand once more on the woman's cheek gently and ran it down to her chin looking her into the eyes hoping that his words got through.

Upon hearing someone behind him talking about the chest he quickly unsheathed his sword the golden glyphs of the word "Speed" once again lit up upon his sword and at an extremely fast pace he ran towards the strange steadily charging towards him, if he were to make contact Lance would slam him into a tree placing the sword to his neck, if he were to miss lance would run up the tree and flip around to further investigate the man while standing in a defensive pose.


Jace smirked laughing while picking up his lance and shaking his head in disagreement. "Though im not sure if you or he has noticed there is more than just our strong presence in this town, and even i would be afraid to meet up with more than one of them, and at this moment they are all headed to that beacon." Lance looked over at the man and kneel holding lance in hand. "If I might say master we should go check up on him incase something bad happens."

Makani squeaked and went wide eyed as he pressed back into the tree to try keeping his throat away from the blade. "Oi what the hell dude!? I wasn't gonna even attack you!" His voice came out in a squeak as he scrabbled slightly. "How are you even going to open a metal chest without a lock?"

"Hmm.... I guess you're right about that, but let's take our time since I'm used to him holding onto his time guarantees." Jokull said softly and headed towards the end of the bridge. "So Jace once we have the map, do you think we should head for the closest or farthest piece of crown on the map?"

Lance stayed quiet for a few moments staring the man in front of him down. "Hear my words and hear them closely, I giving you a chance to live, You will answer my questions and only my questions, If you speak out of line ill kill you, If you give me a false answer ill kill you, and if i don't like your answer or any of your little friends, if you have any come galavanting in to save you ill kill you and then them." Lance pushed his blade tighter against the mans neck. "Question one, Why are you sneaking around watching me from the trees.." A circle appeared under both of there legs golden glyphs of the word immobilize appeared Lances and Makani's legs froze as if they were stone. "And don't try leaving i am a spellblade after all it's not like i was planning on letting you leave without my say."

Jace stood up and followed the man down the bridge, he thought carefully about the question the man asked him then smirked. "Depends do you wan't to kill them all now or later." Jace laughed as he folded his lance into two separate pieces and sheathed them into slots in his back

Lucien smiled, he had the feeling that he was getting through to the women. "Simple, Help me find all the pieces and make it to the throne, And if on the way you want to kill anyone including the pesky people forcing you to be in there team i would have no objection to it." Lucien laughed a manic cheshire grin appeared across his face. "Of Course there is a women i want to kill if we ever run into her but, we can always wait too see if that day comes." Lucien removed his hand from the woman's cheek and left it held out in front of her offering a handshake. "Do we have a deal, Or shall i give you time to think it out?"

Makani bit his lip and squirmed as best he could he lean back away from the blade into the hard bark. "I'm hear searching for treasure and saw the chest. What else would a thief like me believe lying in a chest but treasure? Though it is quite strange for a chest to sit in the middle of a light like that...." He mumbled and closed his eyes hoping that he wouldn't be killed for this.

Jokull laughed lightly and shook his head. "Hmm... Well I wouldn't care if someone challenging me were to die, but we shall attempt to allow the innocent to live as long as they desire." He said simply and turned towards the light. "Let's hurry.... I have a feeling that my little blonde fox has gotten into a little predicament..." Sighing as he took off at a gliding run.
