I think if my experience on gaia had not been so overwhelmingly positive I probably would have never gotten hooked. I found a great hangout thread and had tons of friends on there and grew with those people for a couple years, and then found more people and my best friend and stuff on there. . . and I got really into art from drawing people's avis. . . I just don't know where I would be without avi sites <3

First forum I joined was Zelda Universe, in... 2003. First avatar site I joined was (surprise) Gaia in 2004. XD

Someone on Gaia almost made me give up on these sites... They'd hacked my account and taken all my items and gold, changing my password, name, AND email. If not for the friends I'd made there, I probably would have given up...
