I watch movies all the time; at least in the background while I'm doing other things.

I saw Suicide Squad recently. Will Smith is always great, but Jared Leto and Margot Robbie's renditions of Joker and Harley Quinn were absolutely perfect. Honestly, I wish the movie had more of them both. They were spot-on.

Her Harley Quinn had the accent and all the little nick-names like "Mista J." And Leto nailed the psychotic clown. Worth the money for me.

Yesterday I saw "Sausage Party" out of morbid curiosity. It was... interesting. A LOT of cursing, even for me. And, of course, the typical Seth Rogen humor. Some parts were shocking and offensive, and there WERE some really funny parts in it. (Selma Hayek cursing in Spanish for like 15 seconds straight had me laughing.) I'll say it's not for everyone. In its defense however, there were some very positive and progressive social messages in it. I'd say wait for society to put it up on a stream and watch it then. lol

Don't Breathe. - Three teens try to steal a blind veteran, nothing goes as planned, nothing is like it seems, who's the real villain???? Etc.
I thought it was going to be slasher horror, but it turned out to be more psychological horror.

I've seen the advertisements for it - reminds me of the Lovecraft story "The Terrible Old Man"

That could very well have been the inspiration... except we do get a backstory of the old man in the movie xD and the ending I shall not spoil here.

I am not sure what was the last movie I posted here. But I also saw Suicide Squad and Sausage party. Neither were as bad as my friends made it seem. I do feel like if DC gets to Marvel I may not want to see their movies though. I LIKE MY ANGSTY HEROES DB<

But I think the last movie I saw was Kubo and the Two strings. It was cute and as always from that animation company nicely done. The story was simple which is something I felt is always needed in telling complex emotions and moral judgments to children.

Most of The Croods? I think? At my sister's place and the kids like to watch it but attention spans drift and their minds change so the last few hours of movie I've watched would be various segments of Croods, Shrek, Despicable Me, and Kung Fu Panda (sequels and specials included) mixed up and out of any chronological order.

I watched Blood Father with the parents because mom loooves Mel Gibson xD
Diego Luna was the best thing, of course <3
Mel Gibson probs did the movie to try to prove he's not anti-semitic
a typical action movie about father helping daughter, nothing new but not that boring either

The last movie I watched was Kung Fu Panda. Its like my go to movie when I want to just sit and chill.

I just watched The Age of Adeline. It was so slow, and it literally took me days to watch it, but I must admit that the end was kinda weepy and so good.

ZenKitty 12-17-2016 11:29 AM

I saw George Takai's broadway musical Allegiance at the movie theater on Tuesday. It was truly moving.
