Its supposed to come out this fall.
Looks like the Heroes of Olympus series will be a 4 book series.
I did enjoy Lost Hero more than the Percy Jackson series, but they are all still predictable.

I just like Rick Riordan's style of writing ^^

Gozed 03-31-2011 03:24 AM

I'm just a fan of it being modern world with Greek and Roman gods.

Renata 03-31-2011 03:27 AM

yeah I loves things like that as well.

Lauv Keiko 03-31-2011 03:32 AM

*nods* I'm a big fan of it too~
but the movie sucked..D:

Gozed 03-31-2011 03:54 AM

Movie is a decent movie on its own, but being compared to the book its horrible.

Good morning fellow Book readers ^^
Is there any new ideas for book to read yet?

Angel Spirit Girl 03-31-2011 12:47 PM

I will have to read the Percy Jackson books then.

I should see about reading Pretties by Westerfield (?) at some time soon.

I have read all of the Percy Jackson series, and the Lost Hero.
I have the Red Pyramid, but I just can't get into it.
I can't wait for Son of Neptune to come out.

Well there's a lot of books -turned movie that it could have been said about.... Lucky guess?
xD

I own the Red Pyramid but haven't read it yet
the day I got it someone asked to borrow it from me. I haven't seen it since
=.=

I love the Percy Jackson Series. Book five was weak, but could have been a lot worse. I'm almost done with the Lost Hero, but with the way everything has been in recent weeks I haven't been able to finish it. I really do like it so far though

Pure;
Any Patricia Briggs book. I own most of them and they are sooo well written. She really pulls you into her world.

Or Have you read "Hush Hush"?
I'm not sure how to spell the authors' name off hand but I'll get the name if you need it. It has a sequel I have yet to read but the first book was down right awesome.

Or "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater
A really good stand alone book but then the author came out with a sequel that I haven't gotten around to yet so I'm not sure how that one is either. I love most of her books as well. Her Fae series was decent. First book was much better then the second but only because the second messed with your beliefs about some of the characters. If she had used different characters it would've been a much better book.

erm....

"Three Days To Dead" by Kelly Meding
Awesome multiple race story. (once again first in a series) ^.^;
Its a fast moving thriller with a griping storyline. The first page you find out she's dead.. but yet alive in someone elses' body in a morgue. It's got its moments where your just like GET TO THE DAMN POINT... but most stories do.

--please note that some or all of the above stories may have mature content (as I can't remember for sure)

Angel;
Isn't Pretties the start of a series?
-I can't remember...

Airina 03-31-2011 01:19 PM

*bounces into the thread yawning* i need to read more soon.

Angel Spirit Girl 03-31-2011 01:20 PM

Those sound like some interesting books. Are they horror?

I like fantasy better than horror.

Mizeria 03-31-2011 01:25 PM

They are Fantasy some with more fighting/action parts then others.

Mornin' Sissy~~ <3
