There's no application to be a moderator. Just be a good member of the community. Make sure people on staff know you're a good and responsible person, it requires a lot of voting.
Applying to be a writer is awesome and I hope you win because the more writers, the merrier! Writers don't get mod powers though.

granted, I actually don't know much about art positions open aside from web design (which I just heard about today) and pixeling (which we ALWAYS need more of). When Cage was hired for a secret project, I had no idea Fen was hiring for that. XD but his secret project looks SO AWESOME so far. <3
