That is so random, Illusion. xD Are you serious? I've been trying to find a fitted vest for myself for ages. All I can find are the half-assed cotton ones that just hang and do nothing. I want something like mah avatar is wearing dang it! *covets Lucid's pin-stripped vest* I actually saw a guy at a bus stop the other day wearing a black vest, black skinnies, and a nice shirt. (WITH A FEDORA OF COURSE.) He looked pretty good in that. Fashion wise, as long as the pants are nice and dark, they can equal (or even surpass) slacks on a man. Lexi, I got my pinstripe vest at, uh, some sort of fashionable-girls-store around Christmastime. it wasn't Forever 21 but it was the same sort of store. just smaller. I saw it and a super awesome blouse on a mannequin and I HAD to buy the outfit. I don't remember where I got my black jean vest. probably Kohls or JCPenney. |

( *has been avoiding it at all costs* Too many people and expensive stuffs. >n< ) Illusion:: I'm not really good at this kind of stuff. Wanna-be vintage? Maybe the nerd look too? I see a lot of plaid shirts, "glasses", and skinnies on the street, as well as "Ice Cube" style pants (still) and baggy shirts. Neither are really limited to either gender; I see them all on both. |
yeah, the mall is usually kinda important for finding clothes that you want.
for boys, I definitely think the wannabe-hipster look right now is plaid. I think of those silly flannel plaid shirts as lumberjack shirts. so I walk around campus and count how many lumberjack shirts I see. sometimes I see rainbow lumberjacks and it makes me giggle. also those weird beanies that sit back on the head are popular. personally, I think there's a fine line between vintage and trashy, and that males should take fashion tips from GQ, not the local thrift store. I love GQ. I kinda want to buy a subscription. as for womens' fashion, since I go to a church school all the girls dress relatively conservative. this past year I noticed a lot of calf-high boots. mostly of the cowboy boot variety, but some were other styles too. long dyed-blonde hair seems to be decently popular as well, but that might be the overabundance of students from California. I really don't know a lot about womens' fashion because I don't care about it as much. |

UGGS AND SHORTS SOUNDS LIKE SUPER NASTY. boots of any height above the ankle shouldn't be worn with shorts. they can be worn with short skirts, but not shorts. I don't like those hats on anyone. I don't really know if I see 'em more on guys or girls. I mostly just have one friend who really needs a haircut who likes to wear a hat like that, and he made me hate them. he's the epitome of the obnoxious side of hipster. |
Yeahhh~ Maybe it is an age thing. I haven't really paid that much attention to how people dress in college. Mostly just how they dress on the street. (Because I'm a passenger a lot of the time, so I'm always starting at pedestrians like a creeper.) That's because uggs and shorts is nasty. It's just silly. Lolol, poor Lucid. Your friend has traumatized you. (For that hat at least.) I like them, but I think only a few select people can pull them off with certain clothes. There's this one girl I know and that hat just fits her perfectly. (And then there's another where she would be better off, but she's not the point here~) |
when I'm a passenger, I love creeping on pedestrians too! it's my favorite. but when I drive, I kinda have to pay attention to the road. >.> but I do creep on the people in the cars next to me when I'm at a stoplight! XDDD

Ooooh... Yup sounds like me, I only take care of my appearance when I actually go somewhere. Movie theaters I just wear pajama's, anywhere else I want to look half way decent xD. (Unless it's friends, but it depends on what friend too.)

YAY for new clothes! I'm going clothes shopping today, I think. I don't know how I'm going to fit more clothes in my closet, I have way more than can fit in my half of the closet. I take up almost the whole thing! XD good thing I have the room to myself for now, but come fall when someone new moves in, I'll be in trouble. |

x3 if I ever need to get rid of them, I'll let you know. But I'm so cheap, I usually keep clothes until they wear out, and I doubt you'd want that.
I do have a sweatshirt from my ex that I don't want anymore, though. he's never getting it back because there's NO way I'm paying shipping costs to Finland. |

it's definitely a lot easier to keep up with monthlies as they come out, as long as you don't leave for an extended period. I've always had at least 2 of each monthly since the site opened, and I intend to keep up the pace. haven't had to sell anything yet, either, though that fortune may be due in part to having donated a few times. |
