I like it when people like my cooking. It's a very nice ego boost.

I like to cook when I'm with willis, we tend to experiment with food and stuff, and it's just generally fun.

I never realized how picky my mom is. ._. We were at the store, all gonna make dinner for my grandma and stuff. So like. "I can make turkey legs" and she's all, NAW MANG I AIN'T EAT NO TURKEY LEGS UGH I CAN'T. So I'm like. "How about these green beans" and she goes UGH EW THEY ARE TOO GREEN BRAH I CANNOT EAT THOSE. "Brussels sprouts?" UM NOPE. "I am good at stuffed mushrooms..." EW EW MUSHROOMS R GROSS UNLESS DEY COME FROM A CAN. YOU GET MUSHROOMS AND GREEN BEANS FROM A CAN DEN WE BE AITE

I find that I don't really like canned food,

and wtf is wrong with her. Green beans are best when they're green and fresh looking. Canned veggie food all kinda taste the same....

Willis; IKR. Gosh. I try to avoid canned and prepackaged things as much as possible, but that is seriously ALL MY FAMILY EATS. Every now and then my grandma will cook something, which is pretty much invariably chicken with rice and some canned vegetable. NO FRESH VEGETABLES EVER EXCEPT SOMETIMES CORN. WHY. WHY DO THESE PEOPLE HATE FRESH FOOD DAMMIT. COOK ALREADY. COOOOOOOK YOUR FOOOOOD.

I was used to having fresh food and cooking pretty much everything with the oven/stove when I lived with my friend in Iowa, now I come here and it's just... boxes and bags and cans. There's some fruit, eggs, and frozen salmon filets. But just about everything else is pre-made and like I don't even wanna eat most of the day.

Willis is less a name and more a title at this point, it's a long in joke.

Willis: That's appalling, I prefer fresh to canned every time, I won't even eat canned chili, have to make my own.

Works for me. ; u; I mean, I have my junk things every now and then, but that's why they are for treats or "emergencies". The ramen is not meant to be every day's lunch. It is meant to be lunch on days when someone has been unable to get to the grocery store for a while.
