It's the same exact way at my house, I have dishes. I go clean my own dishes, then decide to clean a couple of my families dishes. THEN POOF. 1 hour later the sink is filled to the brim and I'm the one yelled at. :/
Hey hey, I put my dishes away. And for the last 2 weeks I've emptied the dish washer, and yet your complaining I don't do dishes?

I'm forced to do my dishes, though, and everyone decides not to clean ANYTHING out, so I have to scrub everything. x n x

I would be stuck doing everybody's dishes all the time if I didn't pull the excuse of "I'm a vegetarian and I'm not touching the fat-filled pan that you just cooked a wad of pork in. Clean it yourself." unfortunately, that also leads to the kitchen not getting cleaned very often. one of my roommates is pretty good about keeping the house cleanish, but the other often won't clean up after herself unless we force her to. >.<
