It sure is! I just loved how emotionally connected I was to the Hunger Games characters, and I'm glad the movie kept that emotional appeal.

I will state that I got a lot more connected to Katniss in the book than I did the movie.
Also, I am so happy that I have something to read. I got bored reading fan fiction to keep me entertained.

I definitely got more emotionally attached to the book characters, but I was afraid that I wouldn't care about the movie characters at all. I still cried a few times during the movie, so I say they did it well enough.

Yeah, the big difference of the endings with Petta made my cry in the book.
Also go to fanfiction.net and look up the black games. Slight parody but different and entertaining. It is Atla universe.

I hated Peeta in the book. D:< I think Gayle should have won. I was scared that the actor for Peeta would have been super attractive and I wouldn't hate him enough, but the actor actually looked like an ex of mine, so it was really easy to dislike him. :D
