I've played Phantasy Star portable and when I heard Phantasy Star Portable 2 was coming out and you could import your character I was excited. But when you import your character all you get is the name and the outfit the character was currently wearing upon importing.

It IS a different branch. The main character/heroin is in a unit called BLOOD. But there is a transfer data thing so that should be fine.

I don't think it's the same person since you start of as a rookie again. Anyways, there will be more info on it later on since it's due to come out in japan this year. For it to come to North America it'll take longer.
