Definitely not the hats and blanket. And while I would love to try doing scales on the dragons eventually, they wouldn't be very cuddly...

Tohopekaliga 12-09-2016 04:46 PM

XD A steel scale blanket. That would be...

...

Heavy.

Kaderin Triste 12-09-2016 04:52 PM

Well, the scales are aluminum actually, so a little lighter than steel. But yeah...still very heavy. Lol

Tohopekaliga 12-09-2016 04:53 PM

Ah, yeah, that'd be a bit lighter. :P I have steel scales on a shelf behind me, so that's what I was thinking of.

Kaderin Triste 12-09-2016 04:54 PM

Not gonna lie...I kind of want to make one now...
>.>

Tohopekaliga 12-09-2016 04:55 PM

That's a lot of scale. o.o

Would be super cool! But wow.

Kaderin Triste 12-09-2016 05:24 PM

It would definitely be expensive to make.
But so pretty!
A "dragon hide" blanket!

Tohopekaliga 12-09-2016 05:27 PM

It would be! On both accounts. :O

My scale vest was like $100 worth of scales, a blanket would be, uh, a lot more. XD

Kaderin Triste 12-09-2016 05:33 PM

Ouch...but yeah....say hello to my 10 year $1000 project..
I mean, depending on length, my scaled gloves can cost between $12 and $40 approximately for scales.
So yeah...lots of money for scales!
XD

Glitch 12-09-2016 11:00 PM

i imagine . . . it would be the warmest blanket ever.

Kaderin Triste 12-09-2016 11:02 PM

It very likely would.
And the shiniest one too!

Tohopekaliga 12-09-2016 11:03 PM

Would be the coldest blanket ever when first getting under it. Unless it was out in the sun.

Kaderin Triste 12-09-2016 11:07 PM

Surprisingly, it probably wouldn't be any colder than a regular blanket (if the gloves are any indication) because the yarn that holds it together would completely cover the back of the scales.

Tohopekaliga 12-09-2016 11:10 PM

Oh, yeah, that's true. I was thinking about scales with rings holding them together (like the scales I have).

Kaderin Triste 12-09-2016 11:11 PM

Yeah, if it was normal scalemaille it would be colder (and a good deal heavier) than knitted scalemaille.
Brrrr!

Glitch 12-09-2016 11:14 PM

you'd only need that blanket at night. . . it would also probably hold you in place
