I think that most young characters have a strange disdain for their families. When they aren't flat out dead, that is. It bothers me more than it should.

Don't read too much into it. Think more boarding school type situation where there wasn't much chance for a real relationship to form anyway.

I'll probably need to tweak Tarja's background a little more when I can think of something, but the changes won't affect role play much. Are character backgrounds going to be relevant in the near future, apart from general interactions between characters?
