It seems like the "prize mode" option has either been taken away, or never installed. Once we get that (back?) we would get a reward.

can't exactly blame them, but maybe the devs could implement a daily limit to how much aurum you can get from that one to encourage playing the other games.

ideally you dont want users playing the games too much because it means they are not using any other part of the site and are not socializing

I've always been the type to gather my currency through socializing rather than through gaming.
I think I just get bored of being online by myself. :(

Back when I used Gaia, I would spend hours and hours in the fish tanks collecting gold.
But I would still post every day too.

I like the social aspect of avatar forums more than the games (and sometimes even more than actually dressing up my avatar lol)

I believe it is similar to smooch quest, where only during the event does it give awards

There was a prize mode during an event once; I believe during the winter one where we had to collect tons and tons of snow. You could earn a certain amount each day through playing the avalanche game.
