I can only get the capture pokemon bonus, i heard you get them from the pokestop bonus... which i can't get unless i cheat. xD

Yeah. The evo items are only gotten at pokestops. You are guaranteed one if you get the 7 day streak, but VERY rarely you can get one without the streak.

Although they have lowered the rarity of them. Not by much mind you but enough that my other half is finally getting them randomly dropping from stops now too.
That sucks you can't get to a stop regularly DK *hugs* I'm really lucky that my other half will go out of his way to make sure we keep our streaks running... |

It's a mile walk to get to my closest stop too. So I've done it...once. On the plus side, another mile gets me five more stops if I'm up to it and the weather is nice.
Now if only the ol' phone would stay connected to the server D: |
Ugh. I have mostly stopped playing again. Except for events, I pretty much just see the same pokemon all the time. And I have all evolutions already. XP
I'm not even interested that much in hatching eggs anymore. Always get the same pokemon from them too... |

Yep. Gen 1 and Gen 2 are both in game now. They released Gen 2 near the end of winter I think...but I forget exactly when it was. I haven't actually seen any yet, but they exist. Somewhere...

I dusted off the app and actually played it the other day. Can't seem to catch the drive-by pokestops anymore. Either I'm out of practice or they don't like you swiping them at high speeds. Got a Gliger, Ledyba, and Spinarak, all on my mom's dashboard. Story of the day was that I wasn't paying attention when we were leaving my sister's place and my mom had to take the highway east rather than west and I forgot to remind her about the turn. We went the wrong way and I was directing her to the nearest highway re-entry point on roads she didn't know by following the road map laid out in the game.

I think they did change it to where you can't spin PokeStops in motion anymore.

I got a cyndaquil yesterday while I was out, and saw a few vulpix. It was rather awkward trying to catch the growlithe that was on the insurance lady's desk. I named him Mighty. ;) |

The gyms are being dismantled today for at least a few days if not a week or longer to be revamped with a new system being implemented for them.

The Pokemon I got into a gym was booted the next day, so I have confirmed that people around here are still playing. Got 10 coins though. I'll check it out again soon enough though, as it's right next to my new favourite store.
I snagged a charmander as well. My houndour isn't all that tough, so hopefully I can get a better one. Mighty is over 400 which I'm happy about. My highest power pokemon right now is one of my flareons at 1200 I think? |

Well I got a three day streak, whatever the streak thing is. There are no Pokemon where I live so I actually have to go out if I want to catch any.
I can walk my growlithe though. He's sort of my pretend step counter. |
When you hit day 7 of a pokestop spin streak you get a guaranteed evolution item plus a bunch of other items. With the Pokemon capture streak you get bonus exp and Stardust in increasing amounts per streak day.
Looks like the event has finished now, but in the next few days at least we will have a new gym system being rolled out ^_^ |
Found out that PokeGO isn't getting along well with my wifi =/ i gotta use my data for the game, even at home.

What's an evolution item? You mean like candy or did they bring stones into the game now?
And what do pinapberrys do? I'm not up to date on this stuff. |

There a some Pokemon that you can only get when using evolution items. We don't have stones yet other than the sun stone which will evolve a Gloom into a Bellossom or a Sunkern into a SunFlora. The other items are Dragon Scale, Metal Coat, Upgrade and Kings Rock.
Pinap berries make the Pokemon give more candy when caught with one active, Nanab berries calm a Pokemon down to make them move around less and make them easier to catch and Razz berries increase the capture rate, meaning you have a higher chance of capturing the it when that berry is active. I hope that helps ^_^;; There are also 2 other berries that have also been coded into the game but not yet have a use or are findable yet. I suspect once the new gym system is in place they will have more of a role. |

Thanks Awen. I've only seen the pinaps and razzs so far. Maybe when I'm at my sister's I can convince my mom to take the kids to the park near-ish by so I can raid the three stops that are there. ;). In the meantime, time to take middle growlithe for a walk while I water the garden. ;)

0.4 kilometer jog! (I'm very out of shape so this is okay for me) Judging by my egg. I'm at 8/9 so I need to hatch these things. Almost have another candy though. That will put me at 16 or so. Going to take a bit more walking to reach my arcanine.
