i do remember with the older one, we had a 'no bottoms' day... but that's what helped her learn... that and actual underwear. same with the younger one. not the pull-ups, those seemed too much diaper-like.

while my two brothers are younger than me, and i was old enough to know what was happening when the youngest was being potty trained, potty-training boys is something i know nothing about.

ew, that all sounds gross. >.<

Monorea 01-20-2016 05:07 AM

Totally agreed.

trystan830 01-20-2016 12:00 PM

Monorea 01-20-2016 01:36 PM

Not if you never get kids.

trystan830 01-20-2016 01:42 PM

hm. this is true.

didn't mean to gross anyone out, sorry!

Monorea 01-20-2016 03:02 PM

It's just a conversation, don't worry.

trystan830 01-20-2016 03:19 PM

ah... *whew*

next conversation!

XD

Yeah sorry about or Mom potty training talk. XD LOL It could be worse. ^_~
But yeah I think we are going to go back to real big boy underwear and just stick with it. I just need to learn to NOT let it stress me out, and my hubby needs to learn to help me out with it a HELL of a lot more. It's kinda why he's not already potty trained, he didn't help when I was preggo last year when our oldest was almost trained. Realy pissed me off bc here I was sick as a dog and preggo and he didn't help out. But now he regrets it and knows it was his fault and is doing much better. Plus he is doing extra to keep my stress levels down bc it is starting affect my health.

trystan830 01-21-2016 12:18 AM

i'm totally for hubby helping out - mine did when i was pregnant both times, and when the kids were little. heck, he still does - him and younger daughter go go-karting a few times a week. =D

ShadowGrimReaper87 01-21-2016 12:28 AM

Yeah we have had our issues about stuff like that. I would get so mad bc he would tell me before that he wanted to have a family, and when we did have it he didn't do anything with it, just went to work came home went to bed and repeated the cycle. It's been a rough and bumpy 3 years but we are still here. And he's getting better, he wants me to go to the doc about my stress but I know it won't help. Plus we can't afford it, they'd just tell me to try to stay away from stress up stuff or if things are bad enough, put me in the hospital. Which aaat one point it was that bad, but this week has been ok so far, knock on wood.

trystan830 01-21-2016 12:48 AM

glad you're still here, Reaper.

i play online and watch my tv shows to get away from stress.

and i know what you mean about not having money... our credit card bills are pretty stressful!

ShadowGrimReaper87 01-21-2016 12:52 AM

Oh yeah your kids are in school, must be nice to have some time without kids. Now that will help with stress. I try to do the same things but it doesn't always work out. See my hubby works nights so I have the boys from noon on, I don't get any me time.

trystan830 01-21-2016 12:54 AM

'me time' is very important, and there were some times when the kids were younger that hubby would just pack them up in the car and go for a drive with them so i could have some time for me.

ShadowGrimReaper87 01-21-2016 01:03 AM

Mine does that only when his dad is home, he works on an oil rig over seas. Home for a month and gone for a month, but he was here when both boys were born. Heck he got in the night before my youngest got here, labor sucks!!! Didn't have it with the 1st but did the 2nd. Mu husband is like 'Wow you just had a good one" as he looked at the screen when I was at the hospital. I just glared at him and said "Realy?!" But we laugh about it now.
