"Uhh...that's a good question." Mail frowned and blinked. "Let's see, this thing started...and my contract validation...it's about 2010 or 2011."

"...This person doesn't know?" Near inquired. "Wait... 2011?"

"Yep, definitely that." Mail nodded. "...Or 2010."

Humming to himself, Near reached up and began to curl a lock of hair around his finger once more. "If I am still alive, that means that I am 20 or 21, now..."

"Well...what year was it back home?" Mail asked. "You look even more like a little kid that Nate does."

"2003," Near informed. "And it isn't surprising, as I am 13 years old. 'Nathan' is sixteen."

He paused, before reaching into the pocket of the coat he was wearing and pulling out a wallet.

"It says 21 on his ID," He informed. "But its obviously fake. And his phone lists his birth year. If its 2011, he is 16."

"Wow, you're cooler than the Near in the show." Mail took the items from the little boy. "You steal and crap. The Near that Nate plays can't do anything for himself."

Near blinked, before he frowned. "...How so?"

"He just sits around on the floor, like he's crippled or something." Mail replied. "And he's got three bitches to do all of the work for him. He doesn't have to do anything for himself."

"Then it sounds like he doesn't want to, not that he can't," Near corrected. "If this person had three people to do things for him, would he want to?"

"Yeah, but Mello has a whole gang...he like joins the mob or something and he still does everything!" Mail exclaimed excitedly. "He's some kinda psycho badass!"

"Psycho is correct," Near mumbled, rubbing his upper arm and looking away.

"Aww, don't pout." Mail patted the boy's shoulder. "Not used to gettin' shown up, huh?"

"Perhaps Mello is better at being a bully then I am," Near commented, wincing a little as Mail's hands fell on him, as if it hurt. "But where it counts, I am still number one."

"Yeah, in bed." Mail laughed before opening the jacket and pulling it down a little to get a look at Near- having not missed the wince.

"Hey!" Near snapped, jerking away and pulling the jacket back up. "Don't touch me!"

Mail noticed, however, that the boy had removed Nate's small tank top, leaving him shirtless. He also spotted the bruise on the boy's shoulder.
