It is because the mirrors get dusty since the box they are in isn't sealed.

Yep yep. Minor design flaw. Just need to disassemble printer a bit to get to said box so mirrors can be cleaned.

Tiva makes use of scanner (though I need one at times) and she and I both need a printer for college.

Mine is a combo printer scanner. Which is why Alpha doesn't use his, he lives in my room.
