I love coffee. I am not an expert in flavors or roasts or anything, but pretty much pour me a cup of whatever, let me doctor it up (sugar and cream) and I'm set.

I just hate starbucks here in my country, because of how most of my countrymen perceives it.Here when you have a cup of coffee from starbucks, people see you as cool vain rich kid and all sorts of bs. man. it's tavern for annoying hipsters.

Ashy 12-23-2012 11:15 PM

yeah there are far better coffee shops here :P

Daigotsu 12-23-2012 11:46 PM

My favorite coffee shop is called Cool Beans. It's in Downtown Marietta in Georgia. I used to go there all the time when I lived down that way (Now I a in Chicago). I miss it immensely and I have to settle for Dunkin Doughnuts. D:

Sei 12-23-2012 11:59 PM

See? Now that I'm in Indiana, I miss my local Dunkin. I was so sad that they only have Starbucks and a few local chains. If I can't have Dunkins, then I'll skip my morning coffee. It's a stubborn New England tradition. >.>;

Well....you could always move near where Tiva and I live. We're just getting a Dunkin in sometime in the next few months.

Arikana 12-24-2012 12:05 AM

A Dunkin? o.o
Uh, what is that? :o

Homg ;A; *pets Ari*

They're donut shops xD. But they only exist in the eastern states.

Coda 12-24-2012 12:19 AM

Starbucks had that reputation in the US but they managed to become mainstream and now the hipsters insist that Starbucks sucks and you have to get your coffee from local coffee shops if you really want the authentic atmosphere.

Which is true.

This is what a Dunkin is, Ari.

Arikana 12-24-2012 12:28 AM

@Kami: You make it sound like such a sad thing that I don't know what a Dunkin is. D: There aren't any north of the border. We have Tim Horton's instead. <3

@Sei: Ah, I see.
The way I see it, it's the American version of Tim Horton's.

Ultima 12-24-2012 01:02 AM

Hehe, around here there are more Dunkin Donuts than McDonalds, and Starbucks are fairly hard to find. Ah, Deep River, Connecticut XP

Kamikaze Chinchilla 12-24-2012 01:20 AM

I prefer Dunkins over Starbucks. At least with Dunkins, I can get a donut. At Starbucks, every pastry is over-priced.

Arikana 12-24-2012 02:03 AM

Yeah, I've checked out Starbucks' food and am not impressed with their prices for them. :| Don't they make enough money with their coffee and other drinks so that they can sell their food at cheaper prices? >.>

Coda 12-24-2012 12:32 PM

Starbucks's food definitely is overpriced, although I do occasionally have to treat myself to some because they are pretty good and I don't know where else to find some of the stuff.

Kamikaze Chinchilla 12-24-2012 12:44 PM

Those smaller coffee shops and bakeries <3

You know, I found that during my line of work, those little holes in the walls make way better food than the mainstream businesses most of the time. Coda should be experimental and give them a shot :3
