oh golly

Stabbsworth 11-24-2019 06:44 PM

oh boy

now to organize the mugs.

Merskelly Metalien 11-24-2019 10:10 PM

:] And it will be a mug treasury. Soon, mugs will be worth more than caps, and then I'll be richer than I ever was previously. B] Few things are more dangerous than a rich killer!
Although Reapers are admittingly terrifying because they're dangerous! 8{ Deathclaws, eh, whatever. But, more than one Reaper in a tunnel...
e~e; thas' a HAAAARRRD nope!

Gives a whole new meaning to mug shot.

Stabbsworth 11-25-2019 11:50 AM

yep.

my mum has a bunch of mugs and cups and it's quite neat. maybe i should get into pottery.

Merskelly Metalien 11-25-2019 01:12 PM

:] I wanted to make a tradition of making cereal bowls at Color Me Mine, each with a favorite movie theme to them, but it got too expensive. :[
Also I gave up eating cereal for the year.
But I might take it up again. :3

As for mugs though, :D My mum is actually starting to collect mugs from her favorite musicals. She has a Hamilton mug and a Phantom of the Opera mug so far.
And my dad collects mugs from his favorite diners, like Denny's, Coco's, Rick's, Black Bear Family Diner, Jack's, and IHOP. ^-^ He's missing a few, but he's got the bigger collection.
Both are coffee drinkers. <x'D While I, their spawn, hate the stuff.
I guess mug-collecting might run in the family though. o-o

littl3chocobo 11-25-2019 02:09 PM

i've never heard of that. i feel old and out of the loop XD

Merskelly Metalien 11-25-2019 03:49 PM

About what? :] Mug collecting? It might actually be a rather old and unoriginal tradition. :/ Not sure myself.

littl3chocobo 11-25-2019 07:20 PM

"color me mine" i haven't heard of that before, i assume it's a place for customizing ceramics or something, yeah?

Stabbsworth 11-25-2019 09:00 PM

iirc, my older brother is alright at carpentry. if we had our own business for it, then he'd probably be able to make a fair amount of money.

Death by Mirrors 11-26-2019 04:53 AM

Yeah, it's a place where you can pick from a huge amount of unpainted ceramics stuff (not limited to bowls, plates and mugs), then paint it and they will fire and glaze it for you. We have a similar store in my town, albeit the only time I did something there was a gift for my mom years ago.

littl3chocobo 11-26-2019 06:20 AM

sounds charming ^^

Stabbsworth 11-26-2019 11:40 AM

sounds very neat.

currently: trying to farm some aurum for the event items. they all cost 1500. theoretically, i should be able to get all three.

Merskelly Metalien 11-27-2019 01:29 PM

Yup! Color Me Mine is pretty much a place where everyone is at tables with a huge water mug in the center, and paintbrushes. :] You pick your ceramic thing, be it a bowl, plate, mug, piggy bank, figurine etc, and pick your colors out of the paints they got, and color your chosen ceramic to your liking. They even have sponges, stencils and stamps you can use. :D Then you wait a week to pick it up once it's been baked in their kilns. ^-^
Lots of kids go there for like, birthday parties sometimes tho. /B>
I think it's only been around since the 1990s. :o

littl3chocobo 11-27-2019 02:48 PM

heck, i'd go kids or not if the price is reasonable XD

Stabbsworth 11-27-2019 05:33 PM

man, i wish i could get into pottery. do they hire in the UK?
