I'm not a weird scrambling minnow thing.
|
SORT OF ARE THOUGH.
|
Well, first of all, I'm not a /minnow/.
Second of all, Dante probably doesn't think too highly of Fishboy. |
First of all, if you're gonna go around acting like one, shouldn't be surprised when you get called one.
Second of all, lolololololololollikeheevencares. |
Analyzing Target.friend statement...
Retrieving Minnow image... Comparing Minnow image to Target.friend image... Variable difference count: 489 differences out of 500 total Target.friend has a 0.04% chance of Typo... Umm...who are we waiting on? |
(Also, for the record, Dante isn't particularly good at swimming. In case that ever comes up.)
EDIT: Also also, remind me to take some time to redesign the tattoo on his back. I have it thought out, but I haven't had time to put it down on paper. |

Permission to post twice, then?
|
I could try to muster a post, but it would essentially be a wordy and stretched out version of 'Yes, he's still swimming in a buffet of Mother. He is happy.'
...That sentence sounds creepy on so many levels. |
Aww....such a good mother's boy, Na'lsa is.
|
I certainly wouldn't mind, Salone.
And you can go ahead, Lawtan, I'll probably post soon, and who knows what might happen then? :O |
There. Character growth. Na'lsa realized that he has always wanted to be an insane cannibal instead of a dancer. His feet were too wide for the shoes anyway.
|
I'm so happy for him!

Just wondering, how would a physical hand-to-hand fight between Lev or Dante and a person with psychic powers work out? Like, yes, if the person isn't as skilled as they are in combat, they would actually stand a chance, yeah? Because they both have (by now) reflexes that don't require /thought/. Or would the psychic still be able to see past that? Also, someone who hasn't had that much experience would have slower reaction times.
|
Depends on the psychic and what their powers are. Some have better precog than others.
|
Btw, for reference, falling 100 ft means hitting the ground at 25m/s, or 52mph.
|
What, that's a problem? :P
|
So, my friend and I did some research, and figured that if we could detonate the bombs mid-air, we would be /mostly/ safe. Obviously Tarja would still have to toss up a shield, buuuut. Or we could shoot down whatever's currently carrying them over. Unfortunately both of these would require diverting attention from the current main issue.
My friend also brings up the fact that shooting down the carrier /might/ piss off the Celestrine. Or it could just not be plane-launched at all, given the post-Esch technology. The first point I brought up would probably require Tarja working with Dante to boost his telekinetic range, and him actually setting off the charges. And after the initial explosion, there'd be an implosion -- the high pressure and sudden vacuum would kill basically anything, or at least, their physical forms. |
*Stabs pride repeatedly* Umm...how did you figure that out? (Wants to figure out the problem myself tonight)
|
I have no idea what you're talking about.
|
There aren't plains delivering them, they're being fired from the missile batteries on the assault vehicle we rode in. Rather like this.
And Zaccheus wouldn't really care about his property getting destroyed, anyway, especially with something this big going on. He honestly might show up here in person if things don't take a turn for the better... |
So, to be honest, a 100ft drop isn't going to save us. Even if we do escape the initial fiery explosion and pressure shockwave, the resulting implosion will just pull our innards out through our mouths.
I think detonating them mid-air would be the better course of action. |
...I'll just finish Kadia's piece and look it up.
|
No, seriously, I have no idea what's wrong.
|
...your head...?
It is something we likely talked about before, and I just have to deal with it when it comes up (as it did). I know you'll worry, but don't. :p-smile: |
I still don't know what you're talking about. FB me if necessary.
|
Oh, also, if you're referring to my avatar, this outfit is what I had in mind for the male version when Batty and I were designing Dullahan.
|
Dullahan!!! :p-love: :p-love:
Ack...one word! |
Well, technically Harrowing Harbinger, but it was what we called it before it had an actual name.
|
Can someone help me find some equations to help see how far up the detonation would need to be to be less harmful?
|
I don't think there's a set equation. I'm assuming 100ft isn't gonna save us because of videos.
|
Umm...not sure an airborn explosion will help...
Ballistic Missile Jericho I - can deliver a 1000 kg payload. TNT equivalent of 1000 kg ~ 4.184 x 10^9 J of energy... I am looking up dispersal radius right now... |
Plan B
step 1: jump out window. step 2: plummet. step 3: hope the Celestrine is better than Thomas at putting bodies back together. |
Well, if the fire tornado (awaiting a response from Suze to add to) catches the thing at ~40-50 meters (exploding in the air) and we jump the 100 meters, by the formula S/(4*pi*r^2) and (I think) S = J, we will experience about 1.5 kJ of energy, which is barely survivable...
|
I thought it was 100 /feet/?
Also you're forgetting the thing depends on having oxygen to burn. If there's no oxygen, it won't explode. Also, Tarja could toos up a psychic shield. Dante's telekinetic powers are mediocre at best, but he'd be willing to do everything short of dying again to save the party from being wiped. |
Feet?
Shiitake Mushrooms... Oxygen, I forgot about :f-blush::f-rollinglaugh: (assuming open space as a detonation/missile would hit ceiling...) How can a shield be formed if feeling is absent? Post raised up. 3.5 hellhounds dead...and Kadia is in hell version alpha (will someday get better at writing hell) |
By the time we're out of the window/building, we should be fine. It's getting to the actual outside that's the problem. Also, "how can a shield be formed" isn't exactly a good question when Kadia and Dante are able to do the things they're doing.
By the way...erm. I think she might have been just a bit too overpowered there, but that's for Suze to decide. |
Suze gave the okay...and added a wounding to Kadia...
|
Oh. Alright then. I wouldn't have expected her to have been so easily able to bring down a hellhound o.o;
|
...there are (8, I think) left...and there is a type 7 focused tornado...and a type 3 fire whirl in the vicinity...and a net built to kill these sort of beasts... Tornado killed 2, net 1, and the fire whirl is damaging the fourth...
(Yes, this is overpowered, but Kadia is going to be suffering about this for a while, if not lose her body to this completely) |
