I know the names for the main three. That's how I got my first flareon and my jolteon. I've seen espeons around but no umbreons yet. I have enough candies for one more eevee! Are the newer ones included in the random or just the usual three?

As far as I can tell, just the original three I have never gotten an umbreon or espeon through the random evolves.
But they could just have a lower chance of evolving when the evolution is random.

Well tomorrow is my day 7 runabout and I have to go to the clinic so it's a proper reason to get in my car. Getting tired of all the driving, I think. Hopefully there will be a raid I can hop in on. I managed the last one by just 2.5 minutes or so.

Augh! I am mad! I encountered my first Tauros today, but I only had one pokeball and nothing else. And my phone lagged, causing it to be a weaker "throw" than I wanted, so it missed.

I managed to get like.. 3 of those pikachu with ash's hat ovo so happy. I hadn't seen any before today. They're all around the counseling building o3o I got an appointment thursday (mom had one today)

What do you mean too poor to do raids?
You get raid passes (well, one per day anyway) from spinning the disc at the gyms. They don't cost anything.
Also. Just speaking from experience, you could probably do the level one raids on your own.
I don't have any local friends, but have succeeded in around 5 level 1 raids or so.

I can't get to a gym so I can't get those passes, that and there are 3 gyms right next to each other in my area. So I'd have to buy the passes if I wanna do the raids when my aunt comes and visits. She's the only one who'd take me, since she plays as well.

I can't get get to a pokestop daily for so i can get evo stones from the 7 day streak. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get out to a pokestop for like.. 2 months. Q-Q so yea..

Couldn't you spin the gym to get the pass right before you participate?

if its one a day, and there are 3 gyms and I can only get out there when ever my aunt visits, I'd still need 2 more passes o3o

I mean... I don't guarantee that it's only one raid pass per day, but I only ever have one at a time.
But also, gyms seldom have raid battles occurring at the same time (although I don't know how it is in areas with only a few gyms). But if you get a pass one day and then save it for the next day, you can actually do 2 raid battles by using the raid pass you have, then spinning to get another one after that and using it right away. (I mean, I'm guessing your aunt doesn't visit too often, so it could take some time to get around to using the raid pass if you do the suggested save and use for 2 battles technique, but it could be worth it.)
So even if all three gyms had level 1 raid battles, you could probably only do 2 of them. But really, I don't even do raid battles that often (compared to a lot of people). 1 per week usually depending on my free time, what raid battles (I can only do level 1 and I only need a couple of the pokemon from those) are nearby, and how much battery life my phone has left. And what time of day it is. Late-ish morning to early evening, maybe. Anything between around 9pm to 9am, nope.
And also, depending on your levels, you and your aunt could possibly take down a level 2 raid battle together. (Based on the info that shows after the battle is beaten, I'm guessing you don't even have to be the same team.)

I only have one raid pass at any given time. I get them from gyms, but unless I think I a shot at a raid, I won't do it. Plus, I not always patient enough to wait for the stupid thing to start.

I used my lucky egg! Alas, what I thought was a close raid was actually in the other gym that I didn't feel like walking to, but I made my 7 day streak evolved a whole pile of pokemon, and got another level and a half. I'm 22 now. I've been holding off on evolving until I had an active lucky egg so I now have Butterfree, Umbreon (I actually looked up this thread on my phone because I couldn't recall the name), Nidorino, Ninorina, Ledian (who reminds me of Megaman for some reason), Ledian's spider buddy whose name I can't remember, Wortortle, Clefable, Parasect, Persian, Poliwhirl, Cloyster, Haunter, Furret, and Xatu. I also picked up a Phanpy (he was taunting me while I had no pokeballs! I hit the stop and walked back to go get him) and another Ryhorn.

I also discovered little sloth-pig thing has feet. If you tap it, it rears up and you can see them. Mine is named Tim-bit.

Is there a hatching event or something going on? I started a 2.0k egg and it switched to 0.7 right away.

My top 6 for cp are now Vaporeon, Kingler, Flareon, Cloyster, Clefable, and Umbreon.

I almost have enough candies for a ninetails but my vulpix isn't very good and they are hard to find around here. I'm wondering if I should wait until I go on another egg spree.

To my knowledge, it's one a day provided you don't already have one, so you could do two raids on one day if you already have one to start, but after you'd be stuck with just the one.

No luck on the evo item front, but I'm not sure how big the pool is. I have an upgrade and now a sun stone. I need a water stone (I think) and whatever slowpoke and polyfroggo use.

I also just noticed that Pika and Pikahat have two separate candy pools. That's a little annoying.

The raids here always happen one after another.

It's really not worth it to me.

I made my 100km milestone today. I'm sitting with 2 rare eggs at 9.8 and it's driving me nuts. I can't do a lot of moving about too much because of the ash and such in the air from the forest fires so these last couple of clicks have been a really slow go.

This was my view when I picked him to catch on map he is not centered and stays in that spot and I throw balls at him and they go through him so I pretended he was centered and threw balls there and nope not there o. O after a few attempts I gave up and HE IS THE ONLY ONE EVER TO APPEAR FOR ME -.-

I've heard that turning AR mode on and off is helpful for Pokemon that won't center.

Forgot earlier, I finally hatched my rare eggs for a Mantine and a Larvitar. Trying for another streak. On day 2 so far. There was an unclaimed gym but I couldn't get to it as my sister was driving and there was no place to stop. Alas!

Day 3. Got one gym today after beating down the 6 or so pokemon that were in there. Tried for another but couldn't get past the stupid Blissey. It seems Valour has taken over everything around here. haven't checked the local roundabout where Mystic shows up on occasion but the village I drive through and my campus areas are all red.

EDIT: Mantine defended the gym for 5 hours! New record!

Just checked my gym hours and after a gym swap between all three teams, Mantine I had in another gym managed to stay there for two days! Fancy. :). Got two more Pokemon in gyms today. One is back after a couple hours but the other is still there. I didn't realize you could feed your Pokemon from anywhere, though it looks like the bonus is small. Passed some berries around my gym just now. I think I found the area's Instinct stronghold, too.

Also, I just had two Pokemon appear next to my house! When did that happen?

Pooched my last streak again but I'm at 4 now. Got a crocanaw from a raid today.

Yeah, the ability to use berries from a distance is one of the latest new features. I notice they've been adding more pokestops too, so there's one just barely out of reach when I'm in my apartment.

We passed a park I used to live by that now has 10 stops across two spans of grass. it's about 4 spans long. Shame we don't live there anymore.

Flareon held the gym for close to a day. Sitting at 70 something hours now, I think.

Got a Magikarp from a raid as well. Still way behind on candy though. Only 47 or so, I think.

Mainly because most eggs I hatch are just the same pokemon I already don't need and the ones I do need are super rare for my area. So it's just all the walking stuff which eats my battery. So I haven't been playing much.
Should try some gym battles again though. They're mildly amusing when the game doesn't crash in the middle of them.

Gizzie is currently taking a Pokemon Go break sorta (playing less) other than the daily checkin and maybe a checkpoint or so

I found two new cool similar apps
This one you download the game and get the map like Pokemon but you follow clues to hidden locations IN THE REAL WORLD and when you find one you sign the log at the place and get a gift A REAL ITEM then you put a item in the place for someone else to get like a real life swap out it looks cool but I just literally downloaded it and haven't tried it out but I saw utube videos and one person made the hidden spot a storage building and it was full of trinkets to choose from, most places will be like under a big rock by a tree at a park etc etc and you find small stuff but maybe you can get a big treasure trove near you --->

once again Pokemon format but Garfield the orange comic cat (your trainer on Pokemon) hunts (Pokemon) treasure chests instead and you can even win GIFTCARDS and Garfield stuffed toys along with in game stuff like tokens etc and you feed Garfield too and he has clothes etc so far I found him a hat to wear it looks cute

I think Niantic did geocaching stuff before asked about Pokemon Go. I know it's not a new thing but I've never tried it.

7 day streak today! I got a fast tm and no idea what I'm supposed to really do with it.

I'm holding a gym! I'm holding a gym! And I have back-up, too! I think that's a first.

Managed to hold a gym for 20 hours, before raiders chased me off. Now there's a Garados parked there and lightning is my weakest element. Got enough coins to expand my backpack and still have 100 coins left over.

Does anyone know if the appraisals on the pokemon reflect much? Like is a pokemon that has room for improvement that much weaker than a pokemon that can "battle with the best of them?" Thinking when it comes to evolution. I often find the pokemon that appraise better have a slightly lower CP than others I've got. I'm wondering how much it matters.

Appraisals measure the Pokemon's highest stat and the Pokemon's overall stat total. For two Pokemon of the same species and level, the one with the better appraisal should be better, although CP may not necessarily reflect that because CP values offense more than defense.
