I've been pretty upset that CNN won't acknowledge Pete Burn's death. I was so angry about it I wrote them. Not that they will ever read it hah.

Lee 12-27-2016 05:15 PM

I thought she was stable! What happened? Did she relapse??

Lee 12-27-2016 05:16 PM

And let's not forget Robin Williams.

Moonshadow 12-27-2016 05:38 PM

We've lost so many icons in 2016 :(
David Bowie broke my heart, as did Carrie Fischer.
They said she was stable, but I doubted she would make it since they worked on her on the plane, and this one guy said she was "dead" for at least 10 minutes.

Tiva 12-27-2016 05:42 PM

I mean we use to work on people longer at the hospital but yeah the heart attack was worrying. It was probably due to complications with the heart attack though as she had moved from ICU to step down care.

Moonshadow 12-27-2016 05:46 PM

Yeah that would explain it, she was a pretty heavy substance abuser. It is sad how many people we lose due to substance abuse: Prince, George Michael, Carrie Fisher, and who knows who else this year. I believe in taking care of your body and mind by not abusing substances.

Glitch 12-27-2016 05:49 PM

Well Robin Williams did not pass away this year.

Just been a rough year but I still think Pete Burns deserves to not be swept under the rug ;-;

Moonshadow 12-27-2016 05:54 PM

Glitch: never even heard of him, so I looked him up. Yeah sad, all these great people. And don't forget John Glenn the first American to orbit earth! What a brave man!

Lee 12-27-2016 06:29 PM

I thought it was this year. But I guess that's how hard it struck me. He's the actor who really pulled me away from cartoons into live action dramas in my early teen years. (David Bowie loosened the barrier, but that was for other reasons x'DD)

Weh, all this is depressing. Let's remember the joy they brought us, instead of the sorrow of their passing. Do you have a favorite work (since some are multimedia) by them?

Moonshadow 12-27-2016 06:45 PM

@Lee: Just about any song by David Bowie, but especially Space Oddity.
and by Prince: Little Red Corvette and 1999, such amazing music.

I cried when David Bowie died.

They have such beautiful voices. I wonder if there can be a floating memorial candle item.

Glitch 12-27-2016 08:16 PM

we have lots of floating candle items o-o

In my life news . . .
I asked my grandma about doing another puzzle with me for the baby room and that we would be extra careful and lose any pieces. My mom agreed to take us.

My grandma is then telling my grandpa about how we are going to go get a puzzle. He gets upset because I complain about my grandma's driving so he doesn't understand why I would want her to drive me somewhere. My mom clarified about us all going together. I think he is still unhappy about it though because now he is going on about how are we going to get the puzzle "i read somewhere there is a big storm coming." The weather forecast shows today as the last day it is going to snow for a weekish. I'm just like =.= come on guyssss.

I really miss having my own car.

Lee 12-27-2016 08:42 PM

I'm still new. I don't know all the items, yet. 8D;; Maybe I should study DK's guide a bit more thoroughly.

MonBon 12-27-2016 09:18 PM

I added a tag but because capitalization doesn't stick the face just looks weird

Lee 12-27-2016 10:51 PM

It just looks like you're concentrating hard.

I read an article about Freddy Mercury (from Queen) and they talked about how his voice was so special and the reason why. I can't remember and I'm too lazy to look, but he also had a beautiful voice but he died awhile ago.
