I've got High Plains as well, which I think is a little weird -- I moved out of the REAL High Plains years ago, before the 3DS ever came out; there are no High Plains anywhere in California but Game Freak set it that way anyway.

As for the "bad egg" stuff -- I SERIOUSLY doubt the "contagious" nature the article seems to mention. It's true that you can't release a bad egg into the wild, so it's possible that a streak of bad luck combined with this fact could eventually fill up your boxes with bad eggs if you wonder trade a LOT, but we're looking at modern software design here. This isn't Red/Blue. The "bad egg" is an error handler (much like Missingno) but I can't imagine it would set off data-corrupting bugs in unrelated parts of code like Missingno did.

@Ashy
Now I must put tons of bidoof up for trade! All the bidoof!

Ashy 11-05-2013 04:55 PM

yeah not cool man

I hate it when people catch junk pokemon and put them in the Wonder Trade. I feel like a douche throwing them back in when I get them from other people. I have put a lot of Volt Tackle Pichu's (that I bred) and Female Ivysaurs (that I caught trying to get the hidden ability one) in and I hope that people actually like those. xP

Chi 11-05-2013 09:12 PM

I haven't wonder traded any of them because personally I would be annoyed if that happened to me, which it has. I've gotten a few level 1s of like really random pokemon. Like Goomy and Noibat. I may, MAY send out a few female Eevees since female has a lesser chance but that's a big maybe.

Don't you also save before you Wonder Trade? So couldn't you essentially turn off your game before you get it...? I can see hackers ruining something like this for legit players though. Wouldn't put it passed some people.

But yeah, I don't want to flood the Wonder Trade with level 1 Eevees.

Yokuutsu 11-05-2013 09:30 PM

I save my eevees for GTS. Well, every now and again I'll do a wonder trade with one.

But I just lol'd literally. I put a fletchling in wonder trade....got a fletchling XD It was beautiful

Then I traded a bidoof for a fletchling...then a fletchling for a bidoof lol

Rosekitten 11-05-2013 10:39 PM

i normally put my hatched egg pokemon in the wonder trade >w< where im trying to get shiny pokemon and certain genders/stats.

so like starters and then i have put a good number of fossil pokemon out there xD

Yokuutsu 11-05-2013 11:18 PM

I put an eevee up for a houndour. If the pokemon only has trades up for a legendary I say screw it and put up an eevee saying I want that pokemon XD

Ashy 11-05-2013 11:48 PM

yeah ive got a fair amount of pokemon i want by putting up an eevee or a ditto, remember, japanese people need other region things too :P

Yokuutsu 11-05-2013 11:54 PM

I don't care about regions really...I just like the exp bonus from someone else owning it.

Rosekitten 11-06-2013 09:59 AM

i care about regions.. better shiny chances >w>

i trade my vivillons a lot of times for the jap people offering.. D: most people ask for crazy trades!

Yokuutsu 11-06-2013 06:59 PM

I do the -wander in circles training- ...is that a green ursaring? IS THAT A SHINY?! I MUST HAZ! -catches- -pets first ever shiny caught- my precious.

Rosekitten 11-07-2013 12:12 AM

lol xD i think my first shiny was a mareep way back like when mareep was in the proper gen (2nd?) its kinda my goal each time to catch one or trade my old one .. so im waiting on the pokemon bank so i can move Candy to my new game :)

Crystallyn Whisper 11-07-2013 01:49 AM

My first shiny was a Stunfisk. I'm not sure if it has terrible IVs or what, because it really sucks. I actually like it's shiny too. :/

Ashy 11-07-2013 02:12 AM

My last one was a shiny Mienfoo in White 2 i just remembered

Xyphlan 11-08-2013 11:36 AM

The pattern on Vivillion's wings changes in accordance to the region in which it is caught. This is why a Vivillion from a faraway land is more valuable than it might otherwise be.
