I mean, they ARE forged in like....pits of fire, so.
|
I thought they were forged in snakebutt.
|
Oh wait, they were. Oops.
|
I don't think I could call that hide then...or the creatures living. They are more akin to Talos, or Necron-wolves...
Leather hide would not work as an analogy here - but the picture helps (was seeing this as them). |
...what the hell is snakebutt?
|
Sin's womb = snakebutt.
|
Umm...would it be wise for me to just ignore all logic when it comes to things of hell and apply it heavily when it comes to everything else?

And I really think you're over-analyzing it, Lawtan. They're not even made of conventional matter but infernal essentia. |
Pssh, logic.
...No but seriously, I don't think logic works here. |
As a general rule, I figure logic applies to anything we do, but nothing Suze does.
|
Whoops, bit late to things here.
Lawtan - sure, ask away if you want input on something. Suze - my bad. I thought the vehicle was further away and the soldiers were still on foot. What happened to the guys who followed us into the asylum? I'll edit the post in a few. Hound will start savaging the vehicle. Up to you on how much and what sort of damage it does. ;) On the topic of the hounds, is breaking a couple of teeth feasible? I assumed the jaw might be a bit much. Should Tarja be missing half of her torso right about now? |
Those guys are in the room with us. Probably not in horrible shape considering their armor is extremely resistant to fire. But then, hounds...
|
Do I have to go back and properly edit the post or can I just add an addendum as to what actually happened?
yeah. Is lazy. |
Edit! Words!

*grrgrumphisssnarlspit*
Fine! :P |
See, when ones like the Greek heroes can beat Hounds of Hades without injury or heavy technology or psychokinesis, and when most living beings can be harmed via metal, a living hellhound does not seem like great trouble to futuristic warriors - it is akin to a boar running against a modern soldier. So, yes, I have greatly underestimated them.
When I realized this, I overcorrected (and was really wanting to summon a storm of my own at the time) so I made this overpowerful stuff from Kadia. And the fire thing (second tornado) was to try to make things survivable for the party...yes I am a bad RP'er... |
-coughs-
Greek /heroes/. |
...they are better than Caesar...
|
Which came full circle and led to you applying an appropriate amount of force to fight them, if not the best element to attack with (though the net thing was good).
I don't suppose anyone knows about or has the means to grabs Diogenes' pistols and attack with them, those consecrated bullets will do severe damage to the hounds, but he's in no condition to do any fighting right now. |
So, how could Rurik attack them in a reasonable manner. I have them tearing into her arm, and flinging her onto the floor once, snapping her back. He needs a way to get to Kadia and get her out.
|
Weren't the Greek heroes from a superior age of man to where we are now? Gold age versus Iron age, or something like that?
Really though, we are dealing with an alternate universe so there's really no telling how they would have fared in this situation, if they even existed at all. That's one thing about role play is that what happens in one world might not be directly comparable to another. It's like estimating what Gandalf is capable of doing by using the wizard rules from DnD. There's also nothing to say that Eschaton hell-hounds are the same as those in Greek mythos or in DnD. Post is edited! |
I don't believe so.
Golden Age - All were heroes and monsters...and infertile. Died and became benevolent spirits. Silver Age - Wiped out by the Titans/gods (Atlantean-like if I recall) Bronze Age - Violent and brutal and killed off quickly Stone Age - Modern...can reproduce Hercules had children (As did Jason whose children Medea killed...along with his wife...Medea is likely one of the few tragedies I like) |
She should have just killed Jason and saved the kids, but I guess one can't really suffer when they're dead.
|
I agree somewhat - I don't like that part - but it played out more as a vengeance than a tragedy, and that is why I liked it.
...as a note, I dreamt this avatar up...holding a knife over my head about to stab me... (On the note of Greek mythos - this is a very Circe-like character) |
I can't really find a way to make Dante change course right now; that'd seem too contrived.
|
Hmm... Idea - Espy, FB me. Suze, Skype.
|
Or I can just Skype you too.
EDIT: Also, why not thread? |
(Don't want to clutter the thread)
Do you know my Skype? |
No. Mine's blackwingedfox.

Thunderbird Nocturnis...I need to branch out more...

...So, I am likely going to be killing off Kadia in my next post. Reasons: I miscreated Kadia, and in trying to adapt her poor fitting into Eschaton, I pretty much had to result to myself, who having many things I do my best to keep inside, did not bode well towards keeping her character. Also, I tried to make Kadia too many things, as I never played an RP and was too eager to try to do everything. A healer, rogue, psychic, priestess, rebellious, and caring...and I had to make her life crapsack-y so I took a leaf from my book...and I tried to make her unique and artistic, so I tried to write her as shifty like an element.
What I wanted to make was a reliable Asian-styled rogue with the ability to heal and a hopeful (if rebellious) demeanor. Admittedly, that fits here terribly (no locks to pick, world dictatorship by the church, end of the world, etc.). What resulted was a scarred insane mess that is a degree (or five) worse than myself, that was incredibly difficult to work with and admittedly not good for myself - she became a more negative mirror for me. I had hoped to have her hospitalized soon, so she could come back like that later on - perhaps trained to heal others better, and restored to some semblance of happiness...and stealing food to give the poor on the side...mainly because I want to move on, not have to write the part of me that I recall from when I feel the worst - it is not that therapeutic and is more like a step back. |
That's reasonable. We can help if you want to add another character besides Rurik. I'm not entirely sure he'd function without her.
|
It had been a thought that her soul would transfer into him and that that could be a way to fix her/the fact that Thomas died...but that borders on the anthropomorphic animal thing that I don't think anyone would want.
|
I'm gonna clunk you over the head for implying that people can be "fixed" in that way.
|
Not what I meant by fixed...
Essentially, Rurik would harbor the soul and be slightly more sentient (able to use his own tools) for the remainder of the RP, and if the church thought it worthwhile, they could transfer the soul to another body, and help Kadia learn some control. |

Poor choice of words - fix the situation we are up against (getting kicked in the rear) by Thomas being dead early...by her somehow taking his intended place.
Yeah, typing while between stress and falling asleep...not the best... |
I totally want in on new charrie making, you'd better keep me in the loop!
|
New Avi, or new Charrie? -may or may not be a reimagining or Kadia post-mortem-
|
Charries, bby, charries. There's not much to discuss for avis.
