Oh gawd. Why?? Whyyy did those shit movies have to come up in THIS thread? Is no place sacred anymore?

-shakes head in disgust and walks out-

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 11:34 AM

Hey, don't look at me. I didn't start it. :p

Salone 07-27-2011 12:06 PM

Don't look at me, I didn't start the fire.

Okay, 80's references are done now.

CupcakeDolly 07-27-2011 03:14 PM

Coming from you? Forgive me if I don't believe that. =P

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 09:33 PM

Okay, I went ahead and moved us out of the city. Felt like we were kind of stagnating. I hope no one minds.

CupcakeDolly 07-27-2011 11:01 PM

Um... yeah. Rue was still deciding whether to go with them or not, and leaning toward not. So unless somebody somehow knocked her unconscious and took her along (which, I doubt anyone would WANT her to come along) it pretty much makes no sense for her. =P

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 11:11 PM

*heads off to delete post* *grumbles*

CupcakeDolly 07-27-2011 11:15 PM

Sorry. Don't worry about it, I'll think of an excuse. Maybe somebody actually could have knocked her out or something.

And again, sorry that I'm not actively posting. I'm in the middle of moving and I'm lucky to even have a computer/internet right now, and I've been stressing out like crazy.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 11:21 PM

I already deleted it. :p (I have it saved, though.)

And that's fine, we can wait. I was just worried everyone was kind of drifting. And Salone seemed bored last night. :p

Salone 07-27-2011 11:28 PM

At least I wasn't hungry.

...You won't like me when I'm hungry.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 11:31 PM

Indeed? Does Lev take after you? :p

Salone 07-27-2011 11:32 PM

I can eat a horrendous amount of food, yes. And sometimes when it comes to roleplaying, I kind of fall in to method acting. Like I did tonight with a D&D session.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 11:34 PM

Oh, do tell. (If you please)

Salone 07-27-2011 11:38 PM

So I'm playing this bigot of a human paladin, and I have currently arrested this half-orc (player character) whose people were slaughtered by my fellow countrymen. There was rumor of them joining up with a rebellious faction, so we killed them before they could do it. So of course, I've been making racial slurs and insulting his intelligence and calling him a bunch of stuff. Even after we finished up, I just kind of kept making racial slurs on the guy playing him and continued using my Paladin Cranswell voice. And yes, every character I play has a different voice. I work very hard on them.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 11:43 PM

Oh, you must be a lot of fun to have at the table. My group never had anyone like that. They were all the "Can we skip the story and get to the dungeon?" types.

CupcakeDolly 07-27-2011 11:46 PM

Man, the story is the best part of ANY kind of roleplaying. ...Except with Salone. He just makes you roll your eyes after a while. =P

I'll post soon... Maybe. I'm addicted to this freakin' battle thingy.

Salone 07-27-2011 11:48 PM

Uuuueeegh. 80% of the fun is the interaction. I spent 45 minutes trying to explain numbers to the half-orc, and how they all stayed the same size and didn't get bigger even if the number of things they represented got bigger. And if they were like that because signs and things are rectangular, and if we went by the size method then they would have to all be triangle shaped. And lumber doesn't come in triangles. Then someone chimed in that the lumber could be cut in to triangles, so my character had to withdraw from the group to meditate on this. He then decided later on that the system currently in place was better, because when kings paid lots of money, the triangle parchment they were on would be so big, anyone could see the amount and it wouldn't be very discreet. That, and rectangles just look more stoic and robust. Triangles are more of a stabbing shape, something that he doesn't like. He then recognized that his personal preference didn't dictate the shape of signs, but everyone could agree that rectangle shapes are more convenient, and there are a bunch of different triangles.

He's also very dumb. He also went to discuss how if there is a goddess of the forest, and someone makes a chair out of wood, does she still preside over the chair? My first experience with 3.5, by the way.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 11:52 PM

Well, I should probably mention, I played DnD when I was in 9th grade, so, yeah, my group was a little immature. I eventually stopped coming up with intricate plots when they just ignored everything anyway.

3.5 was the only system I ever played with. Loved it to death, modified the hell out of it.

Salone 07-27-2011 11:54 PM

It's a shot in the face, having only ever played 4th. 4th simplified a loooot of junk, and the combat is something I'm still getting used to. But holy crap I love being able to have skill ranks. And Perform (Sing)? Hell yes. I've already rewritten a Bon Jovi song and two Stan Bush songs to be about Paladins. Just in case I ever actually have to sing.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-27-2011 11:57 PM

The reason I never got into 4E was because of how mutable 3.5's system is. I just changed and tinkered with it until it was the game system of my dreams, so... obviously 4E would be inferior to me; anything would. From what I gather, though, 4th is harder to customize like that, isn't it?

Salone 07-27-2011 11:59 PM

Gawd yes. 4th has almost zero room for customization. It's pretty much an MMO rule set, you just sprinkle in the RPG bits. I don't even have the Handle Animal skill that would allow me to get close enough to a rage drake to attach it to a chain to make a Drake Flail. I'm not even sure if I could MAKE a Drake Flail in 4th.

But I'm sure as hell going to try in 3.5. Weaponsmithing and Handle Animal, here I come!

Serra Britt 07-28-2011 12:08 AM

Sorry, I'm kind of in the middle of moving, I'm half staying at a friend's house and using her internet >.>;

CupcakeDolly 07-28-2011 12:10 AM

Serra! -clings- Make me feel included in conversation! ;-;

Espy 07-28-2011 04:35 PM

Jeebus. Long post is long. Time to read all that XD

Salone 07-28-2011 04:38 PM

Sorry. It's been a while since I said anything. And it's mostly Na'lsa being a creeper until he relinquishes control over Lev. He staked him again and has destroyed all the memories of Lev knowing he was possessed or ever wanting to eat any of you guys.

Espy 07-28-2011 04:39 PM

-choke cough hack-

Note to self: Never read Salone's posts a mere ten minutes after lunch.

You've just managed to get someone who doesn't get freaked out too easily...well...freaked out. Slightly.

Which reminds me...the lesson I learned yesterday: When you're a girl and barely five feet tall, never walk through a dark alley in a college that under construction yet dead silent...at 11 pm. I didn't realize how scared I was until after I got onto the car.

Salone 07-28-2011 04:41 PM

Aww, were you okay? And yeah, little girls in big alleys are the setup for unfortunate things.

And sorry about your lunch.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-28-2011 04:43 PM

Shealtiel is wondering what would happen if he tried to consume the demon's soul. >_>

Or what it would think of the prospect....

Salone 07-28-2011 04:46 PM

That would be a fight indeed. He's not powerful in any sort of psychic manner. But as long as he controls some sort of form, he will fight to the end.

...If someone doesn't decapitate and slaughter Lev's body while he's out right now.

Espy 07-28-2011 04:47 PM

I'm trying to figure out Dante's reaction to that. And muffling my own laughter at making Dante have to be within fifty feet of Lev when they travel. Suze, when you repost that scene, mind sticking Dante's bike on the APC? He doesn't want to waste gas when he can have a free (albeit slow) ride to Megiddo.

Espy 07-28-2011 04:49 PM

Dante could potentially just shot Lev's brains out right now, but, 1.) Rue and Shealtiel could probably read his mind and cripple him before he gets the chance to do so, and 2.) Dante'd only be killing the body, not the demon itself.

...

Actually, as of right now, he can't really get rid of the demon, can he >.>

CupcakeDolly 07-28-2011 04:49 PM

Edited my post, because ninja Suzerain is ninja. =P

Salone 07-28-2011 04:51 PM

He's had Lev for years, so he's had time to dig in to him. The soul is his, and so is the body. And he's the only thing keeping Lev alive. Lev pretty much did die on the cross. He's a walking carcass kept alive by the defilement of the very land he died on.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-28-2011 04:53 PM

Espy, I thought Dante's bike was solar powered?

Espy 07-28-2011 04:55 PM

Only partly. Like, riding the whole day would drain the energy it collects by letting it sit out in the sun for two. It's not really efficient >.>

Also, I think my character should be glad I gave him really light armor (chestplate), huh...

CupcakeDolly 07-28-2011 04:57 PM

Edited again to cater to Salone's nitpicking. -_-;

Suzerain of Sheol 07-28-2011 05:23 PM

If we stick together long enough, Shealtiel is totally gonna get Michael to build a soul-fueled engine for Dante's bike.

...that would probably be a really good solution to our fuel problem, and give me a great opportunity to both have Shealtiel eat souls, but not have him get overpowered, giving him an outlet for all that stolen power.

Espy 07-28-2011 05:45 PM

How much Dante would like that solution...is questionable XD But that sounds decent to me.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-28-2011 06:05 PM

Wow, Rue is insufferable. :p

Shealtiel gives up. If she's that determined to be a loner, let her. :D

Funkduder 07-28-2011 06:27 PM

I finally got the ultimate story for micheal's history with jez.
He was interrogator. He looted the memories of those held captive by the followers of jez in order to find true believers. Not by choice, of course and that's what haunts him to this very day, the memories of his victims. He then found something important, which really won't matter yet, and was sent to jez for her to see herself. It was then that she mentally scarred him and a piece of her latched on to him (or something like that) and Michael fled to ammend his wrongs.

Like it? /:]
