Michael's is my favorite craft store.
So badly that I stay out of it as much as I can, I have a room full craft stuff. All kinds of craft stuff. I love paper and beads and I don't need any more, but I can't stay completely away!

Yarn is my major addiction currenly. My yarn collection has gotten so large that, for now, I am not allowing myself to buy any new yarns unless I really need it for a specific pattern...
And since I picked up on chainmaille recently, I have a desire to buy pretty colored jump rings too.

when i first started there (fall of 2011) i made the 'mistake' of asking one of the 'front-end managers' (Michael's has since gone through a re-org) for some advice on starting to learn to crochet.... and the rest is history.

also, yarn. i like one of the yarns they distribute (Impeccable) to use for my amigurumis. =)

weirdly enough though, JoAnn's is my first choice of yarn stores if i'm looking for yarn for a shawl. or a blanket - i love their blanket yarn color choices.

my Michael's is next door to an AC Moore, and is in shopping center across the (big) street from a JoAnn's. XD

There is a JoAnn's in my town, there is a Michaels in South Burlington, and an A.C. Moore in Williston, Vermont. The JoAnn's near me is so small tho. I went to a JoAnn's in Florida and I could not believe how big it was.

Even the little JoAnn's here has an amazing yarn selection.

We only have one each of Michaels and JoAnne's where I live. Michaels here has better prices and better yarn selection. But once in a great while JoAnnes will have a color that I can't find anywhere else.

i also can not go to michaels ever. . .

when i do i spend all my money.

It is a wonderful, heavenly place. Thankfully I have decent will-power and can avoid buying stuff sometimes.

Lee 12-29-2016 12:21 AM

What's AC Moore's?

Moonshadow 12-29-2016 12:36 AM

A.C. Moore is another craft store. They all have the same stuff basically.

Lee 12-29-2016 12:39 AM

Are they usually sizable...?

trystan830 12-29-2016 12:43 AM

i just popped on to their website and on the page where you can select a location, their drop-down box has an option for every state. so, i'd say they're a pretty sizable company

Lee 12-29-2016 12:45 AM

Every state?? Wow. How have I not heard of them?

trystan830 12-29-2016 12:46 AM

i... don't know. maybe they're not in your part of the state

Moonshadow 12-29-2016 12:46 AM

Oh yeah they are BIG.
Crafting is big business, I have never been to a Hobby Lobby though.

Kaderin Triste 12-29-2016 12:57 AM

I've never heard of A.C. Moore, but context and conversation led me to the assumption that it was a craft store.

Moonshadow 12-29-2016 12:59 AM

Yes, it is not my favorite place. Especially the one here is not very big.
