I think, rose, that many people don't imagine that websites actually have 'deadlines'. They assume that internet time exists outside real time, and probably don't understand that the one still affects the other. Sorta how people will say/do things in internet space that they know is socially, morally or personally wrong outside of it. (sorry, didn't mean to interject myself into an existing convo, but it's one of those 'my issues with the internet' things I always see)

Rose; I completely agree, but most of humanity has this odd disconnect. They think what they say/do online has no impact on life outside it and vice versa. These are the people that post WAY too much info on fb or twitter and wonder why theives know when to hit their house while they're out of town. Or get their identity stolen.

I like my avie, I have no plans to change it much(unless new animals come out), and while I think some of the avatar free ones(like pink's) are AMAZING I just don't have the wherewithal to try to make one myself.

I also refuse to buy any of the items, until I have enough for an entire set. Which, at this rate, is gonna take me the entire event. |
I'm not all that impassioned about any of the event items...I will however be getting them all so I may continue my theme of 'all the things'...I will need a lot more aurum however to avoid a lot of the older things I still don't have...and allllll the other shop things.
