Damn, that's really warm, borderline hot. D: What's the temperature like for you in the summer, Coda? :o

Belial 01-26-2013 05:25 PM

We actually got snow in eastern USA.
It's nice.

Ultima 01-26-2013 05:33 PM

I only got like ... 1/4 inch or something. It was very minimal >>

Lucid: 01-26-2013 05:34 PM

Trade me, Coda, PLEASE. I would love to have warm, sunny weather. :s-cry:

Arikana 01-26-2013 05:38 PM

I got like two inches of snow yesterday, the area half an hour south of me got two or three times more. How the heck does that happen? D:

Quiet Man Cometh 01-26-2013 06:46 PM

Altitude? Or maybe it's too cold for snow. Once you get much past -5C or so it doesn't snow all that much.

All the non-celcius people are confusing me.

Are Virgil and Ellysia related? I get that impression every time I look at the art at the top of the page.

Lul, yeah, Fahrenheit is damn confusing. @_@

I still don't know why America still has not converted to using Celsius, meters, etc. >>;
THE INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE. THAT'S WHY EVERYONE USES IT. Except stubborn America.

Coda 01-26-2013 09:53 PM

Because we industrialized under the system we have now, and retooling everything at this point would be prohibitively expensive. We tried in the 70s. It didn't end well.

Summers here get up to 110F (about 43C).

Ultima 01-26-2013 09:57 PM

Coca-Cola did the opposite XD It was too expensive to make special machines just for US measurements. Hence why soda is packaged by the liter.

Arikana 01-26-2013 09:57 PM

Damn, the's frickin hot. I definitely would not be able to live there, though I've visited countries with hotter temperatures like Hong Kong and Malaysia. I felt like I died of heat there. x.x

What happened when the US tried to convert to the metric system? :o

Though, I would prefer US just spell stuff like Canada. I keep twitching at their different spelling every time I see it happen. >_>

World Peace and Unicorns were found.

I really don't know but I've always thought it was silly why we have a completely different system than the rest of the world.

Alpha 01-26-2013 10:33 PM

Gah...no snow where Tiva and I are at. Just rain and ice.

Eh, it makes sense to a certain degree. On the whole though.....confusing.

Ashy 01-26-2013 10:37 PM

we hit 120f here the other day, its been raining though so its been a bit under 70 for the last 2 days :D

Alpha 01-26-2013 10:58 PM

Lucky. I prefer the warmer temperatures to the colder ones on the whole. At least somewhere in the 60s-70s (Fahrenheit)
