I really don't know but I've always thought it was silly why we have a completely different system than the rest of the world.

*shrugs* The way I see it, when the US decide to be different, they wanted to do it to for either, 1) They wanted to be loners, or 2) They were cocky and thought they were special enough to be able to convert the rest of the world to their ridiculously confusing imperial system. >.>

But I like your initial response more. :P

o_o Why are you using Fahrenheit, Ashykins? D: I've no clue what temperature you're talking about. D:

So, do you still get Coke cans in the USA then?

I'm pretty sure members of whatever organization is relevant didn't sit down and decide one day to use F over C, or Metric versus Imperial. It probably has to do with common use. My mom still thinks in miles because when she was growing up, that's what they used. Cars didn't have kilometers on them. I like to use feet because I find it a convenient unit of measurement. Seriously, how many people do you know that regularly use decameters?

I'm used to Fahrenheit as far as body temperature and pool temperatures go, so I can sorta translate between F and C but not that well.

Haven't we had this conversation before?

Yep, we still get Coke cans in the good ole US of A.

I think we have....way back when.....

Arikana 01-27-2013 11:59 PM

I don't drink pop much anymore, with the exception of ginger ale. I do enjoy collecting those collectible Coca Cola cans and bottles though. X3

Echo-chan713 01-28-2013 01:40 AM

i still drink soda but not to an excess anymore.

Arikana 01-28-2013 02:22 AM

Yeah, even the ginger ale I only drink now is a rare occurrence. >_> This was triggered because of the time it took me like four or five days to finish a twenty-four can pack of Coca Cola. >.>

Quiet Man Cometh 01-28-2013 04:14 AM

I will stick with my tea and chicken broth thanks. I hardly drink anything else besides water and occasionally juice. I drink more booze than pop, and I hardly drink any booze.

Lauv Keiko 01-28-2013 07:35 AM

Does Coda drink Soda?

**Baduuum Tsss**

Coda 01-28-2013 03:10 PM

Coda drinks coffee, even though the vowels don't quite match.

When I do drink soda, it's almost always diet soda. Regular sodas are too sweet for me.

Alpha 01-28-2013 03:24 PM

Coda doesn't have much of a sweet tooth then?

Coda 01-28-2013 04:31 PM

Oh, Coda has quite the sweet tooth, but it's picky. :P

Not sure what the thread feels about all this.
