Yeah, you're pretty much guaranteed to find an excellent magikarp with that many, heh.

Awen Moonshine 10-13-2016 01:10 PM

I understand how your sister feels. I too had caught all the different pokemon I'd seen so far (114 to date), but with this update I now have a further 6 that I've not yet caught/evolved because of that stupid and pointless update...

Konzern 10-13-2016 01:32 PM

Just finding or hatching, though, is going to be a pain! We see a lot of grass and water, but never ones you want.

It does seem so pointless. There's really nothing it adds, unless "sighting" ups your chance of getting them, and as long as it took to get a Charmander after one ran off on her, I doubt it does! I do wish they would work on the tracking, I have no problems walking down the end of the road to see if they're at the end of the street, but I'd still like to have a general idea. Sucks if it's a Caterpie or Pidgey, but Tangela like to spawn down there too.

Tohopekaliga 10-13-2016 01:36 PM

The "sightings" list doesn't seem to have any real bearing on reality.

Stuff will show up there that I never see, and then all kinds of pokemon that never turn up on the sightings list appear.

Konzern 10-13-2016 03:22 PM

Clefairy teased us a few days ago, had never seen one before, it was on the sightings, and yet nowhere near. We were apparently right on the end of its range, because a couple steps one way, and it would vanish. I've noticed some just popping up whenever they felt like it, but usually sightings doesn't trick us.

Drove in to my sister's today, and since my mom -who was driving in from the other end of the city- had the key I took the time to walk around the park where there are three stops I can patrol to get stuff.

Didn't pick up a lot of pokemon, got a clefairy, but I'm waiting for a better one to evolve. I currently have a few pokemon that I'm hanging onto until I get some decent numbered ones before I evolve them. I have a caterpie ready to go, as well as my clefairy, and soon, my nidoboy who is my buddy right now. Debating crackiing out a lucky egg for the purpose.

I haven't seen any pokemon that I haven't been able to catch, minus the gym ones. I did see a haunter but I decide not to bother with it since my ghastly was higher level already.

Konzern 10-14-2016 11:18 AM

Sounds like a good time. We didn't go to stops last night, but caught another Bellsprout while she was doing her homework, so that's a bit more candy.

She's got a Nidoboy and Nidogirl she's working on, hatched a great Charmander she can work on, I think those are the ones she's working to evolve. She's gotten two since finally catching that first one. She's also trying to get her Vaporeons and Vileplume candies.

Quiet Man Cometh 10-14-2016 11:07 PM

I want another Jolteon to see if I can get one higher than I have but eevees aren't showing up like they used to and I'm a long way from just walking for the candies.

Konzern 10-15-2016 12:27 AM

We get Eevees out the wazoo, she's finally stopped hoarding them to evolve them all and just evolving the great ones. I caught a 400 something CP one yesterday, but it wasn't great.

Honestly, I miss the Oddish, similar situation. Her Vileplume is at 800 something, she wants it higher, and the Oddish just aren't coming anymore.

SparX 10-16-2016 09:44 AM

I caught a krabby and a paras last night... the eevee ran away >.>

Konzern 10-16-2016 11:35 AM

I got to learn to stop checking so late at night. The night before last, it was a Rattata, Bellsprout, Bulbasaur, Eevee, and Abra. Last night, it was lightning, but of course there was a Snorlax around! not going outside after midnight in lightning, not even for a chance at a Snorlax!

Quiet Man Cometh 10-17-2016 05:02 AM

Went to drop off a library book on the way home today and there are a few stops there. Got a good seel and a magikarp was flopping around on the table. My game suddenly decided to activate my camera. It's funny to look at but makes it harder to catch the silly things. With the default background they stay nicely in the middle, even when I'm in the passenger seat of a car. With the camera I had a heck of a time trying to catch this zubat that was "sliding" all over the dashboard.

Konzern 10-17-2016 10:47 AM

I've never used the AR, my sister always has it on camera. Huh, didn't know they stay put in AR!

I think Jigglypuff has bullied Shellder and taken over its nest, because now Jigglypuff, and a large amount of Bulbasaur, are at the park.

Tohopekaliga 10-18-2016 12:07 AM

AR mode is good for silly pictures, otherwise the game is better without it. :P

Konzern 10-18-2016 12:36 AM

We've got some good ones, including a Nidoran drinking hot chocolate and a Tangela tripping in the road. She just leaves it on camera, and I don't bother to change it.

Quiet Man Cometh 10-18-2016 10:02 AM

Mad Pokemon frenzy yesterday. Brother was driving a couple of us to the doctors' so had my pokemon game going. Never played it downtown before. Was tapping and swiping as fast as I could. I'd say that for each stop I managed to hit, we passed two or three, and getting actual pokemon was more a matter of luck. Meanwhile, I'm whipping stuff out of my items box to make room as it keeps filling. I went from 8 pokeballs to 100+. Got some Eevees too, and a couple puffs.
