Umaeril 05-06-2013 10:39 PM

Good luck with that Woop!

All that candy talk made me hungry for something sweet.

Espy 05-06-2013 11:15 PM

-mutters something about being torn between Celtic-ish avi's and avi's that most definitely are not Celtic-

Tohopekaliga 05-06-2013 11:31 PM

So, you've narrowed it down to...all possible avies! :D A nice selection.

Espy 05-06-2013 11:32 PM

No, it's more like...Celtic vs anarchism-esque avi's...just like the music in my head is rapidly jumping from Celtic music to metal...

Tohopekaliga 05-06-2013 11:38 PM

Clearly, you need to listen to celtic metal music. :D

Starzel 05-06-2013 11:46 PM

I second the celtic metal music idea
And then tell me if you find any good songs

Espy 05-06-2013 11:49 PM

I do listen to Celtic metal. Give me abit; I'll pull up some Celtic-ish metal songs.

Starzel 05-06-2013 11:51 PM

I'm just going through a bit of a phase that involves lots of reels. Violin music just makes me happy.

Espy 05-06-2013 11:53 PM

Not all of the songs here are Celtic /metal/, but I really like these artists.

Adrian von Ziegler
BrunuhVille
BlackDawn

Starzel 05-06-2013 11:57 PM

Ooh thanks!
I appreciate it, I don't think I know anybody else who listens to Celtic.

Espy 05-07-2013 12:00 AM

Hm...here's another one that I really like; this is an actual band. They're more Celtic/Folk/Pagan.

Faun (Their intro page is their most recent album.) My siggy lyrics are from the last song on the playlist in their main page.

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:08 AM

They are good, not that I have heard of them before, I'm just listening now.

Espy 05-07-2013 12:13 AM

Whoo, link spam! The song I'm currently listening to is Over the Hills and Far Away by Nightwish. I think that also links to my YT favorites; I'm not sure you can view that.

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:22 AM

I do know Nightwish, I think they are to blame, at least partially, for the Celtic phase.
I can't keep up with your frantic linking, but am making careful notes, music recs are always appreciated.

Espy 05-07-2013 12:23 AM

Haha, sorry -- I have a habit of linkdumping.

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:26 AM

There are worse habits, linkdumping is fairly benign

Espy 05-07-2013 12:26 AM

Eh. I think I may have derailed the topic. Oops.

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:28 AM

Pssh
Rules were meant to be broken
Unless there are very terrible consequences

Espy 05-07-2013 12:31 AM

Yeah, I agree with you, that /some/ rules were meant to be broken.

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:33 AM

Especially ones about eating oranges in bathtubs
I really see no such reason for such a law to even be needed
Is it going to pollute the water supply somehow?

Espy 05-07-2013 12:40 AM

That's...a...thing?

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:43 AM

In California apparently
I don't think anybody has eaten an orange in a bathtub except to break that rule.

Espy 05-07-2013 12:48 AM

...Jeez, I've lived there the past eighteen years and never knew about that.

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:52 AM

I can't remember how I learned it
Probably some silly thing back in elementary school

Espy 05-07-2013 12:53 AM

I'd make a joke about tangerines, but that's too much of an inside joke to be of any effect.

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:56 AM

Most likely.
Though that does open the whole question of other citrus fruits.

Espy 05-07-2013 12:58 AM

...Speaking of which, I wonder what happened to the idea to make dessert avi's. Hm.

Starzel 05-07-2013 12:59 AM

With or without base?
With base would be very interesting.

Espy 05-07-2013 01:00 AM

With base. I think that idea may have stemmed from a spree of drawing dessert-inspired outfits a year ago.

Starzel 05-07-2013 01:03 AM

That must have had an interesting backstory

Espy 05-07-2013 01:05 AM

A friend and I were bored out our minds in AP Stats (a class that I almost failed), and started doodling dessert outfits. I think she went with a more casual and girly route; I stuck to my usual formal/semi-formal male outfits.

Starzel 05-07-2013 01:08 AM

I'm taking that if I don't get into calc. I'm a terrible doodler though. its usually swirly things, triangle, with the occasional unicorn or dinosaur. Though my friend and I had some very interesting joint doodles in french last year.

Espy 05-07-2013 01:10 AM

Aforementioned friend and I also randomly started drawing porn halfway through particularly sleep-inducing classes. That was...interesting.

My brain works better with Calc than Stats. I don't exactly think in an orderly way, which may be why I legit failed Diff Eq this semester )I just took the final today).

Starzel 05-07-2013 01:19 AM

That sounds like a rather interesting situation. Drawing porn is sort of useless when you can't draw, and I really can't.
I hope my brain understands Calc, apparently I'm not one of the 'weird thinkers' my math teacher adores, but I'm coping.

Tiva 05-07-2013 10:52 AM

Calc.... easy if you can memorize certain things and formulas... otherwise it sucks... Calc 2 sucks even more.

Espy 05-07-2013 11:46 AM

I found Stats to be more memorization than Calc. Memorization is something that would come easily to me if only I'd put effort into it. Calc is just fun to logic out.

Tiva 05-07-2013 12:05 PM

Yeah but I can't handle Calc except with memorizing how things work.

Espy 05-07-2013 12:21 PM

o.O;; Okay then. Dunno. Calc 3D should've been way easy for me, since I'm a visual person, but there were just way too many symbols and whatnot, and formulas, and I just plain didn't pay enough attention.

Tiva 05-07-2013 01:45 PM

Stat was so easy to me because of the basic math usage and then mostly the common sense.
