Dressing up is kinda like the best part ^^
I didn't make anything horror related in October, but I'm still determined to catch up with the themes one day. Probably in December, because I'm always looking for new things to try during holidays anyway. |
well, one of my managers dressed up too...but we were the only 2 :( made me sad....
but then i got off work and changed into my hello kitty lolita dress for the trick or treaters. ^__^ it was fun but exhausting! |
I was gonna dress up, but then I didn't have enough energy to...
We have 2 groups of kids (young teens) adding up to a whopping 8 trick or treaters.
awwww....we had about 10 trick or treaters last year xD
we've come to expect a handful of younger kids, over about two hours, and then maybe a few older kids whom my mom doesn't seem to want to give candy to...
I will give candy to anyone who shows up at my door in a costume. I aint no halloween scrooge. xD
bwahahhahaa we did too...anyone that had a bag and semi-said "trick or treat" xD
yep, that's me too! no halloween scrooge for me either!
-cries- I had no trick or treaters!
WE went all out and got 4 huge bags of candy, and the house is super decorated, we even had dry ice fog coming out of our old and now blood splattered toilet that is still on the porch XD |
Guys! It's November! When did that happen?
yesterday.... when NaNo started! XD
awwww poor sparxie! and i know...wtf it's november! xD
Guys!
Last month apron was suggested as a theme, but I don't know if it was approved or not by the majority...so ideas/themes can be suggested. |
Oh uhm
What about birbs or feathers or wings or maybe I am just hungry. |
i like the idea of making an apron, so that's my vote
(even though it was my idea for the pumpkin carving and i didn't do anything cause of my lack of pumpkin-carving skills and access to only shitty dollar store styrofoam ones that were HORRID!!!!) |
I'm torn because those are both great ideas. I like apron because baking season os almost upon us, but also I like birds/birbs because in the US, Turkey day is a big event for a lot of people. (Not really for me, but I can understand the celebration.)
I vote apron, because they're fast to make.
xD exactly, den! and you can easily customize it with buttons and trims, or patches or whatever!
The crafters have spoken!
**Craft A Long Announcement** It's beginning to look (and smell!) a lot like Christmas...and you know what that means...BAKING SEASON! And what better way to ring in the most delicious and loved season than by crafting some lovely aprons! So grab your fabric, yarn, paper, or whatever you choose to use and join us in making an apron! *Note: Aprons do not have to be functional, they may be drawn or painted or even papercrafted if that's your craft of choice. **Additional Note: Please PM all completed craft images to me. It's easier for me to upload our craft along showcase if I don't have to dig through pages to find them. |
wewt! if i don't do a physical one, i know i can draw one :P
I am so glad I looked up apron patterns earlier. lol
I have some fabric I've been meaning to use to make an apron. Maybe if I give up on NaNo, I can actually make it this month....just need a bit of fabric for an accent color.
What color would work well with black and white without being too halloween-esque? |
Teal is a good contrast color.
Oohhhh...yes, that would look really nice!
I'll have to do a little shopping tomorrow! |
I have to figure out if I want to use the fat quarters I have or if I should go shopping for fabric. And depending on what I end up doing, what pattern I want to use.
I'll need to finish cutting out my pattern soon. Possibly this weekend, though I have a few projects that I need to probably do before I start something else.
i need to dig out my serger and put new needles in it....then i can start an apron xD
I can draw a maid this month ;D
Part of me was thinking that November should be an off/break month due to NaNo and how I know a ton of people do that in November. But I forgot to suggest it earlier. > n>
Alsoooo should we have a page 100 party? Since that is coming up fast! xD
Edit: Why did I double post for this... I am a dumbass. whoops. |
honestly, I'm already burnt out on NaNo.
Yeah....I was gonna do Nano. Wrote 550 words last night. Have already lost interest. So I think this will be a nice break from NaNo for anyone who needs a crafting distraction or for anyone not doing NaNo.
Also, a page 100 party would be great! Yes! |
I have never participated in nano simply due to the fact I know I don't have the stamina or motivation.
I have attempted twice. Kind of. I think last year, I actually got to around 1100 words. But my "stories" tend to lose focus and I lose my motivation very quickly and it becomes a chore to have to write anything.
On a semi-related note, the next book in one of my fave series comes out on the 14th and I am super excited because I have been waiting for it for what seems like forever! (Since before Hastings shut down anyway.) |
i'm a NaNo rebel this year - i'm (finally!!) finishing a novel i started quite some time ago.
and because (as of the 1st) i had two half-chapters to finish, a full chapter to write, and an epilogue to write, i just made myself a checklist to cross off items when i'm done. it's on my instagram (instagram.com/trystan830), and i'll also post my daily word counts there too. so my crafting project for november is NaNo. and my HollyDay crochet, too. XD i've done NaNo in 2011, 12, 13, 14, 16 and now 17. i've won all the previous years. this year, i won't "win," but i'll have a finished novel! |
What series Kaderin?
GO TRYSTAN! DO THE THING! Unrelated: I ran out of coconut oil as of yesterday and forgot to look for more today at the store and now I can't make more soap. ; 0; |
i'm going, i'm going! XD
The Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson. I own the previous two books in the series. Totally buying this one when it comes out.
Never heard of it xD But I don't read much these days cuz I am a lazy bones.
