Batty 12-15-2012 07:09 PM

I'm terrified to search it. xD;

They're just cookies with chocolate icing on one side.

Arikana 12-15-2012 07:34 PM

Those sound intriguing. What kind of chocolate is used for the icing, dark or milk? :o

Quote:

Jaffa Cakes are circular, 2 1/2 inches (64 mm) in diameter and have three layers: a sponge base, a layer of orange flavoured jelly and a coating of chocolate. Jaffa Cakes are also available as bars or in small packs. The original Jaffa Cakes come in packs of 12, 24 or 36.

Jaffa Cakes are consumed primarily in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Although Jaffa Cakes are usually orange flavour, limited edition flavours have been available, such as lemon-lime, strawberry, and blackcurrant.

That still doesn't say whether the chocolate coating consists of dark or milk chocolate. >.> Ergo, I shall assume milk and continue to have no interest in it as I do not consume milk chocolate anymore. P:

Belial 12-15-2012 08:35 PM

Sorry for the late response, It's dark chocolate.

They are considering milk chocolate but I don't think they are making that yet.

Oh, damn. Seriously? Okay, now I want to try one. >.> I absolutely LOVE dark chocolate, plus, the higher percentage of cacao, the more I love it. <3

Belial 12-15-2012 08:43 PM

I'm not a fan of milk chocolate either, too sweet.

Arikana 12-15-2012 08:45 PM

I know, right? I love the mildly sweet with a hint of bitterness of dark chocolate. <3
And I absolutely abhor white chocolate, which isn't even chocolate but just a mixture consisting mostly of milk. >.>

Belial 12-15-2012 08:49 PM

My son loves white chocolate, I can't understand why. It's not ever real chocolate and has none of the antioxidants that real chocolate does.

I had a 91% bar once, it dried out my mouth something awful but it was so delicious. Roasted Cacao beans are also very good.

Arikana 12-15-2012 08:55 PM

Yeah, I will never understand how anyone like white chocolate. That stuff is disgusting and ridiculously sweet. :/

I think the highest percentage of cacao, in dark chocolate, that I've ever eaten was ninety percent? I don't really remember since I tend to eat quite a bit of dark chocolate. <3 Though it's never dried my mouth before. o.o

Okay, now I want to try some roasted cacao beans. X3
