._. they look weird

im pretty sure xerneas is based off of some sort of mythological being.

Illusion 01-10-2013 06:08 PM

I'm running out of thought of these Pokemon and Generation... Fans have been going crazy spectating everything they could possibly think of. Now we need more fuel...
We probably won't hear anything new until Curo...Coro? (Whatever it's called.) Or next month at the least.

Alpha 01-11-2013 09:29 PM

Xerneas seems to be based off of a nature deity. Forest life, something like that.

*sighs* Another reason for me to get a 3DS......should still be worth it.

Illusion 01-12-2013 12:08 PM

Well the console is affordable, just save up. If you can store up 1 dollar a day in a envelope until October 1st, then you should have enough for the 3DS and both Pokemon games ;D

The new starters honestly look like crap. xD The fire one is okay, and the water one is alright I guess but the grass one is just awful.

They are growing on me. I loved the Fennekin at first sight, and I despised Froakie and Chespin at first glance. But then I really took a look at them, Froakie was adorable I just hated his cotton balls on him, and Chespin looked like Oshawatt.

So far Chespin is the only one that I'm sketchy about, my likeness will probably change once I see his evolved forms.

My view on Xerneas is changing though because he looks different in his official artwork then he did in the trailer. Yveltal looks more attractive now. I think I might actually get both games...

Oh and I found a cool speculation website that the legendaries are based on the Yggdrasil.

http://www.kimikogaming.net/pokemon-...ragon/#respond

It makes perfect sense.... The Z legendary would be the spectated Snake/Dragon, and then the "Psychic Type legendary" of each generation would end up being the Squirrel in the story!

Everything Fans have spectated easily fits into the Yggdrasil story. If this comes out to be true, it's simply amazing how intelligent and well put Pokemon fans are, we are able to put the dots together before the game is even released!

I happened to buy my sister a 3ds for christmas($100) so it works out well for us. I'm not letting what happened with kh 3d happen again, as in she was hogging the 3ds :P

Hermes 01-13-2013 02:03 AM

all I can say is...I'm excited and will be getting Chespin!

SolaceXxX 01-14-2013 02:47 AM

I'm so excited for these games!
I can hardly contain my excitement!

Gah, I hope the English names will be better for Gen Six than what they came up with for Gen Five. x.x Though I'll probably end up using their Japanese names regardless. >w> We'll see if some of the English names can worm their way into my head.

English names so far:

Fennekin
Froakie
Chespin
Xerneas
Yveltal

Wow... I managed to spell/pronounce all of them correctly without looking their names up xD

I like them (I hate pronouncing Yveltal (ee-veil-TALL)though...)

Lucid: 01-14-2013 02:56 PM

Honestly I don't think the names for Gen 5 are bad at all. They've been literal and un-creative since the first generation. I think the problem is getting used to the Japanese names, which are also fairly literal and pun-driven, but sound foreign and different and creative to us. Hearing the English names after that usually sounds so much worse in comparison. I hope they reveal all the languages for each name at the same time like they did with the starters.

Arikana 01-14-2013 03:14 PM

Actually, I was used to the Japanese names from the start and prefer them more because I could say them with ease since I know it. XD It has nothing to do with the language being foreign to me. :P

So the Japanese names had more of an essence of fluidity for me.

Illusion 01-14-2013 03:41 PM

I agree, some of the Japanese names for the 5th gen Pokemon were actually better. I prefer saying Monozu then Deino. But then again I like some of the english names like Snivy compared to *what was it?* Tsujiaru?
