This isn't at all a defensive statement but plenty of straight guys love my little pony. Just saying.

Good, I was starting to feel guilty.

Hmm I can understand that -nods- I come from an asian family we do stuff like that a lot.

Vincent 04-06-2014 12:20 AM

xD I know. wasn't meaning anything. Just I don't watch it. XD

Why feel guilty? Dx

Yeah. XD just how I grew up. XP haha.

Jurinjo 04-06-2014 12:33 AM

I don't know =|

Yup ignore problems and they go away. It's a human thing but certain cultures excell at it I think. Like the British.

Vincent 04-06-2014 12:34 AM

okayy o-o;

-snerks- XD
idunno if thats supposed to be some clever political thing cuz I'm not all that into politics but I deemed that reaction appropriate. XD

Jurinjo 04-06-2014 12:39 AM

Why thank you, glad to be on your wavelength for once xD
And no it wasn't a clever political thing I'm not much into it either. Closest I get is watching Jon Stewart.

Vincent 04-06-2014 12:41 AM

Uh. XD wha?
-nods with a weird smile on his face- XD

Jurinjo 04-06-2014 12:44 AM

Well nevermind I eat mine own words. /)__(\

Vincent 04-06-2014 12:45 AM

so much frusterating to see high lvl cards get beaten by lower ones. XD

Had to say something, because I loved that game (even if it took me a dozen times to win the stupid tournament in Treno). Yes, took a while to figure out and was *very* annoying. The games makes sense once you figure out that it all comes down to the little yellow arrows on the cards. Here's my breakdown if it helps.

A card can only attack (and defend) in the directions those yellow arrows indicate. If a card with a yellow arrow is played next to a card with no arrow, the card with the arrow always wins, end of story. If a card with a yellow arrow is placed next to a card that also has a yellow arrow and they touch, then there's a fight and the card stats actually matter. The more powerful card wins.

When a card is played, it attacks in every direction it's capable of. For example, I had a boar card with 7 arrows of the possible 8. When I played it, it would attack in seven different directions. (I typically placed it's non-arrow side against a wall or a card that also had no arrow on that side to prevent it getting attacked and auto-taken over from that direction). When it took over another card, the battle would continue in the directions of the yellow arrows on the new card, and so on. That's how you can pretty much take over the board with one move.

I eventually stopped using that boar card because it got so high level that if anyone did take it over, I had nothing tough enough to take it back.

Dangit! Now I want to play the game again. Does it exist on an emulator somewhere?

@ Quiet Man ;
Thanks for the tips. x3 But I got most of it, the only reason I don't like it and didn't play it much, was, as I said, because of the randomness factor. XD I don't care for that in games.

There might be an online version. O: I liked Triple Triad so much that I looked online and you can play it online versus other people online. O:
Triple Triad Advance, it's called. x3 So there might be a Tetra Master of some kind online somewhere, I don't know. XD I didn't look for one.

I think I might even have considered making a physical version of the card game. Could be interesting.

Jurinjo 04-16-2014 01:47 AM

A pretty deck for selling? collecting? Or enough to play against someone else? :3

And wow vincent I didn't recognize your new avatar for a moment ;3

Vincent 04-16-2014 02:09 AM

@ Quiet Man ;
That would be interesting... but... how would you implement the cards getting stronger? XD

@ Jurinjo ;
xD Is that good or bad? Do you like it? o-o

Quiet Man Cometh 04-16-2014 02:28 AM

Deck for personal use I figure. Could always make one for other people to colour ;) were I to get that far.

I think I'd just skip over the part about them getting stronger to start with, and maybe work it in as a mechanic later if I can find a way that works, perhaps with glass counters.
