Fog and snow and wind...and clear nights...I like. Rain not so much.

Potironette 12-19-2015 09:34 PM

In the morning I like gray. At night I like a deep dark, black-blue sky. With a bright moon. There's never stars though. Do you ever see stars in the sky?

Lawtan 12-19-2015 09:38 PM

Yeah. That is a positive thing about living in a less urban area.
(Though if I see another Drone while I am looking for a comet or meteor shower, I'm going to scream) xD

Potironette 12-19-2015 09:42 PM

Ohh, you look for comets and meteor showers?
And what's a Drone? A sort of airplane or shiny aircraft? I see and hear airplanes all the time, flying overhead. I know for a fact that my neighborhood is under the path of an airplane route.

Tas 12-19-2015 10:40 PM

I actually like rain, as long as I'm not getting wet in it.

Lawtan 12-19-2015 10:50 PM

Drone - essentially take a quadcopter or small plane (Size of your arm or chest), add a camera (with a light), and all...and spy on/target other folk.

a drone is a small, remote-controlled aircraft. Usually they have cameras, but they can be used for other things; military drones drop bombs and missiles on hospitals and schools, for instance.

Lawtan 12-19-2015 11:38 PM

Anne Claire is correct. (Ignore me not really liking them in their current state. I can see a use for them)

Tas 12-19-2015 11:41 PM

I don't have a problem with drones, myself. It's military that I don't like. :P

Den 12-19-2015 11:49 PM

I doubt I'd be coordinated enough to pilot a drone... >.> I have enough trouble walking on flat surfaces!

Lawtan 12-20-2015 12:20 AM

Have less problem with the military, and more with the contracted folk. Ones like the TSA and all.

Tiva 12-20-2015 01:20 AM

But flying Drones are fun! At least it is when you are in a populated area and flying one around to video people.

Lawtan 12-20-2015 01:29 AM

O.e

I don't see fun there...

Now, as looking into areas that a person can't reach or that we don't want to damage...

Tiva 12-20-2015 01:55 AM

See you think of that a certain way. I think of it like a live video of Time square for the New Years eve ball drop. Or the big tree lighting.

Tas 12-20-2015 03:32 AM

yeah, as a photographer, I think it would be neat to be able to take pictures of things and people from a bird's point of view.

Potironette 12-20-2015 07:15 AM

I don't think I've ever seen a drone before o.o
I'm pretty sure that where I live, if there's things flying around with cameras, everyone would raise a fuss about how their personal life in the public space is being invaded :/. Regardless of whether it's an official or a citizen--though if it was a citizen I bet people would be super creeped out.

I think I'd like to fly a drone. I'm not too keen about putting a camera on, but flying a stable, hovering aircraft sounds fun! I've only ever flown sketchy helicopter toys xD.

Photographical purposes for drones? Come to think of it, I wonder if drones are safe to use around birds and pigeons and the like? And how high the go. I think it'd be really amazing to get a picture of things in the sky!
Aerial perspective should be interesting, though I'm not a fan of pictures that are of the tops of things myself. Maybe because where I live, the only things I would see from above would be squares of buildings :x If I lived where there were more open spaces and less roads, maybe that would be more interesting?

This is what I would see, cut out the central park and it's just gray blocks: http://insidersvacationguide.com/IVG...rom-above2.jpg
