*is suddenly reminded to charge charger for tonight's adventure*
It's great that schools have so many pokestops XD

Question: Is this akin to most pocket animal themed games, where they die if you don't feed them daily and all?
(Pokemon newbie)

RinLin 07-09-2016 08:42 PM

I don't think so.
It'e never been like that in any other Pokémon game, anyway. ^^

Tiva 07-09-2016 09:39 PM

Nope you don't have to feed them but you do have to heal them after Battle.

I spent the day running around getting Pokemon, ran into a group of people doing the same thing and we wandered around in a pack. Went to dinner near three stops and kept spinning it all through dinner. Someone also used a lure so we had a huge amount of Pokemon showing up. I think I love this game

*Envies*

...I am stuck with the starter for now. (Though I am okay with that - I like Bulbasaur - Bulbasaur looks cute <3)

Glitch 07-09-2016 10:07 PM

i learned you could have pikachu as a starter if you continuly ignore bulbasaur charmander and squirtle! i had no idea ;;

And I am not sure it will work with my android tablet, since it doesn't have a camera. It's a Google Nexus 7.

The augmented reality functions are optional -- the game plays fine without using the camera and in fact I recommend turning the AR off to save battery and improve game stability. If your Nexus 7 is on 4.4 or higher, give it a shot!

My Android phone is capped at 4.3 so I have to use a gigantic tablet for the game. T_T

Really? :O Ohh, I have to check if it is, then. Just a sec! -checks-
it says I have android version 5.5.5

Also, this is a screenshot I took of the game in my iPhone this morning - does it look right?

It seems to work better with my wifi for some reason, but I can't take it with me when I go outside. xD

Tiva 07-10-2016 11:28 AM

IF you don't have cellular data that you can use then you will have to stay on Wifi.

And that look right for the Burbs.

Lucky!

Though, it would be funny for Trisphee to break the fourth wall with a little Sinopa popup xD

RinLin 07-10-2016 12:47 PM

Good job!
I used the 3G net while outside, and found out that the game wasn't working, but I did get help from a friend, and made it work. :)
I was gonna catch this lil buddy... And the game shut down on me! D:

And then the servers just had to not respond, orz.

Glitch 07-10-2016 07:12 PM

this little town i work in has it's own facebook group and they do pub crawls and make posts and go out pokemon hunting together. makes me kind of want to move here so I can feel like part of a pack XD

I started yesterday (even though I've been telling myself I was going to wait because this wasn't going to go well for me), and my experience has been... exactly what I expected it to be :s-wut:

So, I live right next to a highway. Almost all of the stops (there aren't many) that show up on my map are on the other side of the highway, where I, obviously, can't get to just by wandering around.

There's one on my side of the highway. Just one.

A retirement home.

Pretty sure that's a sign.

I've had no pokemon show up less than 3 feets distance from me, which... considering there's a 50% chance it would be spawning in an area I can't reach, isn't close enough for me to try going after it.

I used up one of my incense, and all I caught was an extra small ratata.

My bulbasaur is pretty happy, though. That's what really matters.

Lawtan 07-10-2016 09:06 PM

Day's update:
I went on a ride to the drive in after my walk.
Ratata (2 mile walk)
Sandshrew (gas station)
Weedle, Pidgey, Staryu (ride)
Eevee, Drowzee (walking around drive in)

Lost 10 pokeballs to a Pidgeot. XD
The eevee was a miracle. The server messed up mid-catch, but I didn't lose it. :D
