Not so sure I get the connection between 13 and black cats. I mean, they're both superstitions, but are they actually connected?

They're both seen as bad luck. Espy's luck is weird, so superstitious stuff doesn't seem to work for them.

Yeah, black cats are the least likely to be adopted and the assumption is that it's from superstition to a good degree.
Calico is the second least adopted cat, which surprised me. Personally, I like the colour. I have my tablet out! Oh boy oh boy! So where do I find a good tutorial on drawing with these things? |
Lol. I knew they were both superstitious bad luck omens. The statement was just kind of run together like there was something about them together. XD

My tea is precariously balanced on my bed. I have a new teacup which is very bottom heavy and it's my new favourite thing. |
I parsed /that/ wrong as well and couldn't figure out why you'd be balancing your tea on your head.

Sounds like an interesting day. I probably *could* balance my tea on my head but not while typing at the same time, and not would I risk it because it it were to fall I'm not sure what would break: me, the computer, or the cup.
Plus my tea would spill and then I'd have to make it again. |
