I was already knitting it a tiny winter coat.

I'm going to hatch mine like a chicken.
Fun story, when I was a kid my sister and I wanted to hatch an egg so we got one from the fridge and put it under a plushie. The biggest we had, to make the egg real warm.

Was it a chicken plushie?

Unfortunately it was a dog. Maybe that's why it didn't work and the egg rolled all the way to the ground, leaving a stain on the carpet. :(
