you can summon ghosts if you know who they are already or you can get clues solving the puzzles on the front page

The clues are the puzzle thingies?

If you complete one of those puzzles, you'll get a clue sent to you on the magic words to summon one of the shown ghosts.

Exactly. And if you happen to know one of the ghosts (like Obsidian recognizing her sister) then you can also skip the puzzles. What matters is that you get the right magic words for a ghost.

Okay. Gallagher drops to the floor and the ghost of Gallagher appears floating right over the cauldron. You're all pretty sure there won't be any candy distributed if the one who knows the secret stash location yields the crow a pudding. Time for a MINIGAME!

Form a magic circle to ward off the chaotic force evoked by a person who tried to summon their own ghost. To form a magic circle, each cardinal direction must be manned by a sorcerer, wizard or warlock who lights a candle.
Post which direction you plan to cover and show a picture of a candle. This will not exhaust your normal summoning power and you can do so even when you're currently exhausted. Obviously you can only claim one cardinal direction - but you shall be rewarded with 33 candy for doing so.

Only South and West have been taken.
