Yeah, that's the other thing, their subject audience changed from a nice story that all ages could enjoy to a story focused on teens, hence the fanservice. :c

I mean, granted most of the people who read the books pretty much grew up at the same pace as the characters, but it also cut out future younger readers, too... Oh well, I still love them. The only thing that still bugs me is the harry/ginny thing.
