Wait, I thought they made a tv special that explained Arnold's parents. Because there was even a part where she was giving birth and the valcaneo erupted before she said Arnolds last name.

XD my favorite episode was where they both had dreams about being married to each other thanks to rondas fortune teller.

u-u that made me sad when superboy met superman... I guess superman was just angry he had a son with out having sex XD.

That episode explained what happened to Arnold's parents and why they weren't around, but as of Arnold being a toddler, he has not seen them. They're missing. The second movie would've been about Arnold going to (South America, right?) and finding them.

That episode was hilarious, but I think my favorite would probably be "Helga on the Couch", if only because she's my favorite character and it explains SO MUCH about her personality. Hmm, second favorite episode would probably be "What's Opera, Arnold?". It's a cartoon parody of a cartoon parody of opera, and it's pulled off really well, I think. ("With my golden magic sling shot!" "Golden magic sling shot? Golden magic sling shot?" "I thought it was a spear and a magic helmet." "NOOOO!!!! Golden magic SLING SHOT!")

XD I remember that episode. It was back before Lila and when he was infatuated with Ruth. My friend and I recently watched the Valentines day episode where Ruth turned out to be extremely shallow, and Helga pretended to be Arnold's pen pal. I think Helga was the best character. I remember the one with her sister Olga. Especially the one where Olga got a B and when she saved her from marrying a douche.

The What's Opera, Arnold one reminds me of my favorite bugs bunny video. "Whats Opera doc?"
I believe ( not the one where they sing in the barber shop but the one where Elmer sings Kill the wrabbit)

Most assuredly BFF's XD. >< you'll have to forgive me I have the magical ability to slash every thing.
I can't wait for the next episode to night. I hope they stop doing the ambiguous villain thing. And I hope that superboy and Superman actually talk for once.

but super boy suffers so beautiful
        and it's so much fun
though i would crap a biscuit if superman accepted him
        he's such a douche |<

Poggio 02-04-2011 09:37 PM

XD I like how Superman is a douche in a lot of the tv series that he is in.
Has Nipple Ring heard of a website called Super dickery?
http://superdickery.com/ its an entire website devoted to superman being a douche.

Taradiddle 02-04-2011 09:59 PM

I must check out that Super Dickery site, it sounds funny.

"What's Opera, Arnold?" is in fact a parody of "What's Opera, Doc?" (Or at least a huge reference to it.) Hey Arnold! references Bug Bunny a few times, I believe, though always subtle. I know at one point Helga says "What a maroon!"

I just love to watch me some teletoon retro! It shows all the shows you watched when you were younger, not the new stuff like Johnny Test and whatever! Bugs bunny ftw, and the Justice League!

nipple ring 02-05-2011 06:24 PM

      • awww D: i don't have that, not even boomerang ; ;
oooo i loved justice league, there was always so much

I was babysitting for a neighbor last night and I got to watch Invader Zim on one of the Nickelodeon channels.

I actually have/had the complete Invader Zim DVD set, but... I lost it somehow. I feel like a part of me is gone. *sniffs*

I also watched RuPaul's Drag Race, but that's unrelated.

Also also, Looney Toons are the bomb. Way better than Tom and Jerry, though I like that show too.

Actually, aren't there two cartoons called Tom and Jerry, it's just the cat and mouse one got a lot more famous? I'm going to look this up to see if my memory is correct or if it has failed me....

Taradiddle 02-05-2011 06:48 PM

Yup, found it: Van Beuren's Tom and Jerry. http://www.cartoonresearch.com/tomjerry/ That wasn't too hard to look for.

Poggio 02-05-2011 08:26 PM

Oh tom and Jerry they kinda pissed me off some times. I hated it that Tom could never win or that they made Tom into jerk ( At least in the more recent ones ) In the older ones ( before the 80's ) Jerry was just as big of a jerk as tom and you felt like he deserved it, now its more like lets make Tom the all out vilian.

@Nipple Ring: So Friday's episode of YJ... more superman being a douche xD

Taradiddle 02-05-2011 08:40 PM

I actually think there's a couple of episodes where Tom does actually win, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. I know there's some neutral ones, like the the episode with the duckling that thinks Tom is his mommy. (That one gets me everytime, when the duckling is ready to kill himself. "Well, if my mommy wants a duck dinner, than my mommy is gonna have a duck dinner. Bye bye, Mommy. And remember, I still love you." Oh, my heart. It hurts just thinking about it. D:/ And Jerry was very much a dick at times. That was the best part about seeing them fight each other, that they BOTH kind of deserved it.

There's an ep. where Tom tries to commit suicide, but I don't remember if he actually succeeds or not. I found it on youtube, I'm just waiting for the vid to load so I can skip to the end and find out.

Taradiddle 02-05-2011 08:49 PM

Just saw the end. Tom and Jerry both commit suicide on the train tracks. I mean, you don't actually SEE it happening, but you see them both sitting on the track and a train whistle blows right before it goes to black.

Harsh.
